You know what they say, Dennis: It's five o'clock somewhere.

Welcome Doctor glad you have you aboard!:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:

Russ - 2-11-2010 at 04:38 PM

Hi Doc & Welcome. You said, "we close the gate to the hotel at midnight but ring the bell and we'll let you in." does that mean you have secure parking that gets locked up? That's certainly an attractive service. So is your price. There are a lot of frugal travelers in Punta Chivato that I'll inform.

LOSARIPES - 2-11-2010 at 04:45 PM

Hola Dr. welcome to Nomad. How is Riqui?... I know you guys form way back, when we were "ciruelos"... and the hotel was la panaderia del frances.... and we had breaksfast with "la Bolita"... and Riqui's friends were Damian Martinez, Rogelio (El Frijol), El Jose (acento en la o)... el Villalobos.... greetings.... and good luck with quinta lolita...

Debra - 2-11-2010 at 04:45 PM

Rene _ I'll be down in May -- do you have a web site or anything I could look at to display the rooms or location. Thanks-- Norm

bet he's sorry he opened his mouth.........

CasaManzana - 2-12-2010 at 08:49 AM

..........so- so far we have secure parking?/dogs?/
location?/concrete furnature?/website?...might as well add WiFi? and mint on the pillow? We look forward to meeting you...thanks for tuning in

toneart - 2-12-2010 at 09:45 AM

Well, i will have to suffer through no mints on the pillow. :)

I love La Paz, but cannot visit until I find a dog friendly hotel. I have found them everywhere else, but since i sold my trailer I am dependent on hotels who accept dogs.

Paco is not a little yapper, wears flea and tick control monthly, never has been allowed on a bed or furniture and is under my control at all times. He put me through obedience school when he was six months old. He even makes me carry around a plastic bag at all times while out walking. He is a big dog...loves all people and all other dogs, and he has the manners of a guide dog. :wow:

Just give me the word and Paco will visit you too, you lucky dog!

DENNIS - 2-12-2010 at 10:53 AM

One seldom forgets being called an outright liar---and I didn´t even mention the major fruit fly invasion that happened at the same time as that would have caused more accusations, nor the adversarial attitude of the help.:lol:

We have moved on to much better and friendlier accomodations.

Welcome Doc. When you say you have special dog rooms, what do you mean? Our two dogs travel with us and there have been times we have found the special dog rooms to be really awful. BTW, our dogs have their own beds.

We hope that is not the case. Please include pictures of all the rooms and WELCOME.

Mika - 2-16-2010 at 08:43 AM

I have stayed at Quinta Lolita a few times in the past. Has the ownership changed in this past 2 years or so? Just wondering.

We like Qunita Lolita because although it is simple, we could tell the rooms are well taken care of. And the old lady in the front was always nice. : ) Of course you cannot beat that price in La Paz.

I am sure Dr. Rouyer will tell us more about his hotel, but I don't remember it has a parking lot. At least I was not aware of. We parked on the street right in front of our room window.

bajabass - 2-22-2010 at 07:46 AM

Hola Rene! My wife, her 2 sisters, and her father will be in La Paz for a week, starting 3-14, a Sunday. Could you please post some pictures of your hotel, and u2u me a quote for 2 rooms, at least 3 beds, for 5 nights please? My wife, who also happens to be a doctor, will be checking out the housing, employment, and secondary shools for our upcoming move to the La Paz area. I am sure she will want to talk your ear off in regards to opportunities for a young doctor in the area. I wish for her to be in a safe, clean place, centrally located in La Paz.
