We ended our Wilderness time in Botswana and went on to a new tented camp in Zambia called Toka Leya. Located right on the Zambezi river I wouldn't call this camping in any way shape or form. For one thing - our two bedroom tent had heating and air conditioning. The bar sported a state of the art espresso maker and at lunch everyday they fired up the wood burning pizza oven (our nephew was in seventh heaven). Oh yeah - they have wifi and a computer at our disposal. We only stayed for two nights - our only goal was to see the Falls and town.

We did get a bit of the safari thrill on our last night. The whole camp is built on poles so wildlife can get to the river from the park. We were just getting ready for bed when the manager came to our door - he motioned for us to be quiet and hussled us down to Tent 10 (we were in Tent 1) and there below us on the walkway, under Tent 10 and fanning out slowly was a herd of Cape Buffalo. They ended blanketing the camp. I woke up in the wee hours of the morning thinking we were having an earthquake - then heard the cranky snuffle and knew our tent was just getting in the way of the herd.

Cape Town - amazing city, four nights there. Got our feet wet for civilization. Went to the bottom of Africa and saw ostriches on the beach...
