Hi,
I would like to buy a center console Panga. Do you know of any for sale in the 5K range?
Thanks,

Shari has a std Panga for $1K. Get a trailer, pick it up and use the $ grand you saved to fix it up the way you want it.Russ - 2-22-2010 at 05:58 PM
That's a reasonable price for a used Panga in good shape. I sold mine for a little more than that with galv. trailer, all the electronics, High end
T-top, and more plus the motor was a '02 100hp Yamaha. Still in the neighborhood and I get to fish in it sometimes. Be patient something will show up.

There are good deals to be had on craigslist in San Diego. I picked up a clean 19ft Invader, on a trailer, with an older 85hp Merc for 1300. last
summer. I have seen several pangas listed there in the last 6 months or so.Nice boat Russ, you shoulda kept her!Russ - 2-22-2010 at 06:28 PM
Yeah bass, I think so too at times but upgrade too:

Nice boat, could get it for 5k most likely. add a clean used 4stroke and game on! If you get to Ensenada, try Ensenada Boat Works. From a blank hull,
to ready to fish, they can set you up. The have used pangas once in a while as well. Keep looking now, as prices will be going up as the season
starts. Keep an eye on the bloodydecks.com classifieds too.luketsmith - 2-23-2010 at 10:32 AM
Thanks for pointing out the one in Bahia de Los Angeles. I emailed them and will look more into that one. There have been a couple Pangas showing up
on San Diego craigslist. Just a little bit more than I want to spend. I got to save something for gas.
The one in the picture Russ got looks like a steal.
Have any of you bought boats in Baja and registered them in California? What is the paperwork and fees like? Any pitfalls I should watch out for?
Where is the best place to repower outboards between Ensenada and Los Angeles?
Thanks,

I have only taken boats from here, down. I can see possible hassles in bringing a boat in. Make sure you have any possible documentation, bill of
sale, Mex DMV? As far as repower, take your pick. I would go Yamaha, parts and service all over Mexico and Baja. Most pangas run Yammies for that
reason, plus anvil-like reliability.Alan - 2-24-2010 at 07:42 AM
I'm in the same market. Let's not get into a bidding war luketsmith - 3-3-2010 at 07:40 PM
There has to be a bunch of Pangas out there.
I am willing to offer $100 to who ever can point out the best deal. I can add the outboard and trailer maybe even the center console. I would prefer a
package but am willing to deal. Please let me know what you have for sale. If you are after the $100 what your friend has for sale.
Thanks,

Take a weekend and go to Mexico. Stop at Popotla, Marina La Salina, Ensenada Boat Works. Also hit the small marina in El Sauzal, and the Ensenada
marina area. Keep your eyes open as you are driving south. Take the old road south as far as Cantamar. Hit the toll road to La Salina. Then back on
the toll road to El Sauzal/Ensenada. Talk to the people, ask around and you will find pangas. These people down here are broke! I see boats, cars,
ect., for sale on the side of the road constantly. You will not see them on craigslist or other places. They don't advertise, just put it out by the
road with a "por vende" sign on it. Probably no trailer, so borrow one or call me. I have a trailer in La Mision that will hold an 18-20 ft panga for
a short ride north. Make it a little fun, stay at the Cantina in La Salina and go to the docks early to talk to the fisherman. Hit another marina at
between 2-3pm as they are coming in. These locals should be able to put you on to something pretty quickly. Good Luckbajabass - 3-4-2010 at 08:05 AM
I forgot, head south out of Ensenada, and hit the road out to Punta Banda and La Bufadora. I have seen several pangas for sale over the years. Stop at
Vonny's Fleet, ask there. Be proactive and keep your eyes open, you never know
until you look.
