Has anyone taken the Volaris shuttle from downtown SanDiego (from the Greyhound Station on Broadway) to the Tijuana airport recently? I'm getting
conflicting info.
The website says the bus for my flight leaves San Diego at 8:30AM. My flight leaves at 9:30, so that is hardly enough time to make my flight.
The agent whom I spoke with on the phone said to be at the bus station 3 and 1/2 hours before my flight, but he also said that busses leave the
station every half hour - is that true? Do they really leave every half hour?
Do I have to be there at 6AM? or if I get there at 6:30 or 7, will I still be able to get a bus?

I took it last June. The buses are in sync with the airline so you won't miss your flight. They gave me a specific time to board the bus that was in
sync with our flight. It took about 20 minutes to get to the airport from the Greyhound station in SD (including the customs inspection at the
border). We still had 45 minutes to spare before our flight left once we arrived. Not sure how often the buses leave.
One thing to keep in mind which almost made me miss my flight: There's NO PARKING at the Greyhound station! I ended up finding a hotel to leave my
truck at then caught a cab to the station and just barely made it.

My folks took the shuttle over the Thanksgiving holiday and said it was great. I am not sure how much time they allotted for everything, but I say go
early and play it safe!

Here is an alternative. Drive to the Otay mesa crossing and park in the $5 per day lot across from the I Hop. It's an easy walk across the border and
a $12 cab ride to the airport. No waiting for the bus. On the return trip the cab drops you off at Otay and you walk across easily.

that place at otay advertises
that a shuddle leaves every hour

Was at the TJ airport last summer, not that
it matters, but I believe the shuttle
changed Co's and is run by Crucero
Bus, as posted, parking a car the Otay
is an option, for that matter, have someone
drop you off at Otay, walk across then
taxi to the airport 2 mi.,, I believe the shuttle from
downtown SD is
$15 one way, I'm sure you already
know
the fmt procedure, even if flying Volaris
we paid for the fmt at the Aeromexico
counter

Thanks for your input everyone.
I did play it safe and arrived at the Greyhound bus station in San Diego yesterday morning at a bit past 6AM. The bus left at 6:45 and we were at the
TJ airport at 7:40. The shuttle is indeed run by Crucero and cost $12.50US.
The Volaris check-in counter at TJ was packed - big crowd. People checking in for about 6 different flights, so I was very glad I had a lot of
cushion time.
All in all, a smooth ride.
