After a short use by a relative, this boat is now back on the market. (my relative: Aunt Vera..would you believe she's
a little old lady from Pasadena...hmm? That's her below. Careful now, Aunt Vera...don't slip
1999 Bayliner 18.5 ft. Trophy Center Console
1999 Escort Aluminum Trailer - New Tires - New Wheel Jack. NEW bearings, seals, caps, grease.
1999 125 HP Mercury Outboard Engine 2-Stroke & great 2-Stage Operation, which is very economical. (this feature regulates fuel
usage differences from troll speeds to cruising speeds)
This is a very effective hydrofoil for planing and economy cruising.
New Batteries -Bilge Pump - Accessory plug-in - Compass - VHF Radio/Antenna - Lots of Storage - Live Well - Fish Box - Console (with more storage) -
Extra Prop - Extra Oil
This hull is very seaworthy and a dry ride in our SOC short chop. I have fished (a lot) in Baja for 40+ years. I think this is a great boat for the
Sea of Cortez. This gal will take you to the fishing grounds offshore...and back..in comfort and safety.
You are invited to seatrial the boat here in Conception Bay, Baja Sur.
All papers are ready for transfer to new owner.
$8000 USD CASH

Today after test run.
Pompano - 3-9-2010 at 09:09 PM
This morning a couple of my neighbors and I took the Trophy out for a sea trial of about 45-50 miles. From my house in
Coyote Bay out of the Bay of Conception, around the lighthouse point and south down the coast a few miles past the old mine. The boat/engine ran
very well. With 3 men, gear, cooler, etc. on board, we clocked 35mph max on my gps (which matched the onboard speedometer). I found that cruising at
27-28 mph was my choice for economy and comfort. Even at full speed only a few feet away from the engine we were able to carry on a normal
conversation..a quiet ride.
We encountered some swells and chop, but the Trophy's flared hull handled it very comfortably, according to our forward-seated passenger. The flared
bow threw the water way out to the side. We never took a drop of water onboard ..or in our faces..a dry ride.
Well, since we were out there anyway, we trolled some Mirrolures at about 5.5 mph for a short time near some structure I know about. ..And were
rewarded with thisprized lizard fish.
Well, maybe in certain circles it is prized..but not in OURS! Back into the sea it went. As you will note by the towel, a little
too slimy for my tastes.
And now the Trophy sits tugging at it's mooring..eager to get back out there and catch a REAL fish.....
...just no more lizards.
THIS BOAT IS FOR SALE

Update bump
Pompano - 3-12-2010 at 07:51 AM
A quick note to any who have emailed me with an interest in this boat.
Yahoo..or myself... has had a mail problem recently and I have somehow lost all emails sent to me in the time between March 7th and February 28th.
I know some wanted to come and look at the boat this weekend, but I had written back that I would not be available because of the yellowtail fishing
contest that WAS scheduled for this Friday and Saturday.
That contest has been postponed and made into a one-day event on SUNDAY. Which means that I will be home and able to sea trial the Trophy on Friday
and Saturday.
I am sorry I cannot reply via email, but I have no addresses for you.

Hey Pomp, my co-pilot got a couple job opps in La Paz today. I may be joining you soon! She has kin in San Bruno, and I love Concepcion! Hey, a
walleye boat could work. The Sea Of Cortez reminds me a lot of Lake Michigan. Calm one minute, trying to kill you the next.
