I was wondering if anyone knows the current situation with the immigration office in Loreto. We will be arriving in a couple weeks to renew our FM3
and it would be nice to know in advance if the process has changed from our experience the last couple years. Last year we were able to get our
renewal done in a week. Is that still possible?

Just got back and I checked into it as mine is due in May. Since the staff was changed things are pretty much back to normal and was told a week or
two. If it does take too long Baja Solutions is good at getting it done for you and getting it mailed to you in the US. I think it was $60 but if you
have no choice its a "solution"

Had mine renewed a few weeks ago here in Loreto. This was my sixth renewal in the same office and the smoothest by far.
No more paying in the office of course. but the trip to the bank was quick and painless. It was finished in one week and that included a holiday.

Thanks for the info. We'll go with the assumption that we should be able to get everything done in a week.
Does anyone know how the procedure will change in May when they go to the card rather than FM3 booklet? I imagine new pictures will need to be
taken, etc.
