Rained gently here in TS/Peskys for a few hours Saturday. Cloudy all day and this morning, too. Those damn weeds keep growing but the huertas and
mtns are green! The ocean is smooth and small 3-5ft swell will be building. The birds love these cool mornings--60s. Smiles TomasBajaboy - 3-7-2010 at 08:25 AM

Rained all night here in Rosarito and still coming down hard this morning.
The local produce being growing in the hills that stretch for miles behind Rosarito will be amazing (green onion, cilantro, tomatoes). Once it dries
out it should make for some fun biking too. I'll bet the desert flowers will be crazy this spring!baron - 3-7-2010 at 09:58 AM
Rain all day in La Paz. Streets slippery and wet but no flooding as happens occasionally. Temp was aboat 70 yesterday. Overcast this morn with

TJ is flooded in spots. I just got back from a morning round trip to San Diego. The border highway eastbound was closed as of noon because it's
flooded. Take second street to the border until well after the rain stops.
Second St was flooded in one spot too near the border but a detour through a parking lot gets around that.
Of course Tecate is the crossing to use, stay away from San Ysidro - please and thank you. DENNIS - 3-7-2010 at 02:14 PM

The storm formed over the mountains about San Ignacio but started moving south toward Santa Rosalia in force. Enough so that we came back to port
early and you could see a solid wall of rain extending all the way from about San Ignacio clear out east of Punta Prieta in the ocean. It rained in
San Bruno about 1/2 inch which just settled the dust and everything smells really wonderful. Makes for a great lazy Sunday afternoon.toneart - 3-7-2010 at 04:17 PM

I haven't heard any planes for many hours, Mike. Still no rain but very windy.
I think they are sitting it out because of weather north of here. Maybe Don Johnson can benefit.GC - 3-7-2010 at 04:30 PM
We have received 1.6 inches of rain in Campo La Jolla, Punta Banda since the storm started last night(it is 3:56 P.M. local).

We drove from San Felipe to the crossing in Tecate Saturday afternoon. When we reached the top off the highest point, as soon as we started down the
weather was completely different with the rain mix of light to heavy. From there to Carlsbad was pretty stormy. Headed out from Carlsbad this
morning at 5am on 5 North and barely got the tail end of light rain into clear weather by central Calif.Pompano - 3-7-2010 at 05:56 PM

New rain gauge works I see. I'll be depending on you for accurate reports. Most of these other guys around here just look in their wheelbarrows.

Fandango, there is a lot of water running down the main street and drains from upper La Jolla and ;there is a small lake by the guard shack by the
road. I am sure there is a lot of water in the lower part of La Jolla, but I did not go down to look.
Yes Dennis, we can thank Russ for recommending the Davis Vantage Vue, I think it is pretty accurate.Woooosh - 3-7-2010 at 10:48 PM
