San Basilio

Haven't been out to San Basilio this winter. Has anyone gone there? How are the roads? How's the camping situation?
The last time we were there we couldn't camp right on the beach, but we weren't hassled. There was "talk" of all kinds of development, but nothing to believe.
Thanks for the input!

Hi elfbrewery,

Good to hear you have enjoyed San Basilio. A shame you did not camp on the beach the last time you were there. We are the owners of San Basilio and we always allow people to camp on the beach.

If you want, please email me in private who told you you could not camp on the beach.

The road is not in the best condition, but with 4 wheel drive you should make it as you have before!

There is no development going on in San Basilio. For all inquiries regarding camping, tours and other issues regarding the property, please contact our office in Loreto, where we will gladly provide you with information.

Dear Victor Castorena Davis,
Thank you so much for your reply. When we last camped at your beach, there were signs indicating that only foot traffic was allowed on the beach, so we did not park our vehicles or tents there (just our kayaks). We are very happy to know that the area is not going to be further restricted and that we are welcome to enjoy the beautiful setting. Please let me know how you wish people to treat the area as far as vehicle traffic, boats and so forth and we shall do our best to comply.
Thanks again.

Victor, great to hear from you about the status of San Basilio. And so glad to hear that no development will spoil that wonderful place.
