This is a Spanish article about the curious nicknames given narcos. One of the things that comes out is that Edgar Valdez Villarreal, known as 'La Barbie', is a U.S. born American citizen, born in Laredo, Texas. He is blond-haired and blue eyed. He is currently in a struggle for control of the Beltran-Leyva cartel.

May he receive his just reward! Heavenly Father hear my prayer!

Wonder why he wasn't called "El Ken" or "El Baywatch" ? The IRS is his biggest enemy I'll bet. It's what got Al Capone.

I hope he has his working papers.

Funny that you should mention that. From my position of almost total ignorance, I have to wonder just what his immigration status is in Mexico, being US born.

Let's get this over with,
Legalize it and put these criminals out of work. Get the violent offender dirt bags off the street by taking away their income, notoriety and useless societal status. Let's make the future a little safer for our children and at least potentially require an I.D. at a liquor store rather than one of these creeps forcing it down their throats in fourth grade with the impression that they can be a cool gangster like they are. Prohibition didn't work for alcohol or anything else free thinking people wanted. Tax it ! God knows the political machines need the money!
Just my opinion, like other things everybody has one.

Well- the Kennedy's made their fortune on the Prohibition, turned to public service and became US royalty. That was a nice story. But with the Mexican narcos there is the educational factor missing. They are stuck on stupid and taking away their drug income won't make them go away in Mexico- it will just move them into full time robbery, kidnapping and extortion... which isn't great for those of us down here who would be targeted eventually. The USA would fare better if drugs were decriminalized/legalized- but IMHO Mexico wouldn't for a long long time.

Does it matter, and as far as the IRS, Capone was public. Don't think this dude going to be that easy to find.
