Need help sexing geckos

Santiago - 3-18-2010 at 06:09 AM

Here's the deal:
I'm picking up my gecko next week of which the artist keeps calling it a 'he'. SWMBO will be with me and if I call it a 'he' then we will soon spiral down into the "why-is-everything-a-guy" and a whole discussion on how men have generally screwed up the entire human civilization, the planet, and possibly the solar system. I need a consensus on if it is male or female.
Thanks

Definately a male....You can tell by the nose

Debra - 3-18-2010 at 06:42 AM

Don't know what the problem is......SWMBO, is right.....Deal with it! Of course your gecko is female can't you see that? :light: :lol::lol::lol:

Barbareno - 3-18-2010 at 07:11 AM

It all depends on how they swing their tail. :tumble:

Iflyfish - 3-18-2010 at 07:37 AM

It is the first transgendered gecko that we know of. I know a cute little green ausie one on the telli that may just want to hook up mate.

Well if the beast lays eggs and has babies you'll have to let me know because that would be a miracle!
Gecko's are discreet with their sexuality.
Unlike dogs.
My males--Rusty, Rin-Tin-Tin and 'lil K--all swing along in fine un-neutered style. Lucy (modelled after Lucy-girl--didn't she move to the States?) in full puppy-suckling mode with ta-ta's as big as her head.

I’m not sure about wireframe geckos, but I generally sex live ones by placing a toolbox to one side and a credit card on the other right in front of them. It the gecko heads towards the toolbox, it’s a male. If it is attracted by the credit card, then that means it is a female.

Sexing gay geckos is just an extension of the above method.

Naw, I'm here to stay. Love the place. ;D

Plus, I just saw that Iflyfish was the first to notice that this is a transgendered gecko. He probably visits TJ occasionally, fishing for flys.

K-rico,

Some of my best friends are gay geckos, but this one, a gecko of another stripe, is obviously wired differently.

The above should NOT be viewed by immature geckos.

Unless the German Catholic variety.

jak - 3-20-2010 at 08:45 AM

Throw it against the wall, if it says "Oww, my balls" it is a male.
