Love the pictures, anytime of year.

Yeah, the beaches are not so frenetic as years past, but Mulege-town is jumpin' along.

Many, many children coming to the dive center to see the baby rabbits, all so sweet!

The Nomads Bajafam came by yesterday for a quick visit. Michelle, Lionel, the Sister and the Mister report they thoroughly enjoyed their Baja vacation and are already planning their next. They are looking forward to the quiet beaches of summer down here and the exquisitely bathtub-warm Sea of Cortez water!

I couldn't agree more, Mulegena, April-May-June-July-etc ..it's just gets better and better.

Hey does anyone have an idea or care to speculate on how many campers might be around on Concepcion Bay mid April?

We are headed that way and it would be more fun to camp around some other families on the beach rather than in town.

Kinda loaded question I know but the RV parks in Az and Calif can be pretty vacant this time of year. Wondered if the same were true in Baja.

Mike - except for the holidays,when they are usually PACKED ....it is rare to see anyone on those beaches camping ..that's been our experience

Good report, Roger. We were at a friends house here in Coronado when the earthquake hit. The back yard was rocking and rolling, the water sloshing out of the pool. It made it tough for the kids trying to find those eggs. Did you notice anybody camped in front of our house @ Coyote?

20 years ago, a lone raccoon fell from the treetop and landed on my 2-man tent in the middle of the night while my wife was inside (I was up and outside the tent and had shone my flashlight on the raccoon, startling it...). Her screams echoed across the bay.

The crowds are starting to clear out...most will have to return to work on Monday morning. It's a long hard drive to TJ & Ensenada in one day.

captain4tuna and others who may have trouble with Pompano's photos running off the screen, try this:

Hold down Ctrl (lower left corner of your keyboard) and roll the scroll wheel on your mouse.

That will quickly resize the screen large or smaller. Works with IE--not sure about you Mac people....

Have no pictures to share, guys, but am delighted to report that the water of the Bay of Conception is WARMING UP!!

Spent Easter Sunday at Punta Prieta, the hidden beach at the north end of Mulege. Secret location or no, there were plenty of famlies enjoying the day.

I spent an hour swimming in the water, no wetsuit needed. Water temp and clarity was excellent!! Slept in the sunny warm sand post-swim.

But the text is shrinked as well that method... easier to just scroll to the right ... I have posted this before... the Nomad page is distorted wide for people with 15" monitors.

It's because the photos were not resized to 800 x 600 pixels or smaller (15" monitor size) when they were uploaded to Photobucket or Image Shack, etc. This has been requested by Baja Nomad.

Next time, please click on 'more options' or whatever the photo site has the link called, right by where you click to upload new photos... then change the upload size to 15" monitor, Large, or Medium. Any bigger will spread the Nomad page wide and require sideways scrolling to read the text and view the entire photo. Any smaller and the photo will be hard to view.

Actually, it has to do with screen resolution and not monitor size. If your screen res is less than 1024 x 768, you will have horz scroll for Pompano's pics as they are usually 1000-1024 wide. Most current monitors will be at least 1024 wide, but older laptops, netbooks and mini laptops will be smaller, less than 1024. I would hate to see small pics, but ,yes, 800 wide would satisfy the lowest denominator.
