We went to San Felipe via Mexicali on Wednesday, April 7th. Hwy. 5 was already getting repaired. Any bad areas were well marked or manned. We went
down with truck and trailer and had no problems. Worst area was between KM 25 and KM 40, but I hesitate to call it bad as it is very passable and
getting better every day. The areas just south of Mexicali seem hardest hit. We dropped food, water, and blankets at the fire station in Colonia de la
Puerta. They were still very active as a relief center on Sunday the 11th when we came home. Find them at KM36, West side of the road. They told us
Sunday they needed food the most. Other good things to bring are bottled water, diapers, tarps, and tents. You may be able to donate cash, but they
won't take it if the right guy isn't there.
