Alisitos camp ground

jodiego - 4-16-2010 at 08:27 AM

I seem to remember someone living at or near this campground located along the cliff near the La Mision and La Fonda restaurants and hotels. I'm going to be spending a couple of days there in two weeks and was curious about it. A post or a U2U would be fine. Thanks.

... the campground is open, clean, safe and offering a 40 precent discount!!... we live in the neighborhood, come on down!!

40% discount from what?

I remember it being 20 bucks for dry camping in my Lance about 5-6 years ago. That got you the right to use their pitiful bathrooms.

Dry Camping it is, unless you get a good splash from the ocean:lol::lol: Lately haven't seen too many camping there, but then again, not many tourists either. Full hook-ups Baja Seasons, lousy restaurant but a nice park, ocean front, pool, jacuzzi and bar.

Thnaks for the update Paul. I haven't been there in over 8 years. Used to be $5 a night. I know the La Mision restaurant is closed, what about the store and the other restaurant down below La Mision? And isn't/wasn't there a taco stand right there also? Is it still open?

go to poco cielo next to la mision hotel. great food and views and the prices are decent. really good compared to the rest of the area.

noproblemo2 - 4-17-2010 at 07:55 AM

La Mision hotel and restaurant are open.

Terry28 - 4-17-2010 at 09:01 AM

Woody, you must be suffering from short term memory loss...Poco Cielo is right next door to La Fonda...but La Mision is nearby!!

woody with a view - 4-17-2010 at 09:03 AM

more than you know! it's all the same area right at the turn off from the toll road.....

eetdrt88 - 4-17-2010 at 10:41 AM

5 dollars..hell when i was in highshool it was 2 dollars and some little longhaired kid on a beat up old bike would come around to collect every day....last time i stayed it was way overpriced, like 15$...

You guys are wonderful. Thanks for all the great information. Now about that little store attached to the La Mision hotel. Is it still open? I used to buy my beer and ice there and would like to know if I need to bring my own.

noproblemo2 - 4-17-2010 at 02:39 PM

Man, I can't believe I posted this over a month ago. Weather has held us up but we are heading south tomorrow. Would love to meet any Nomads in the area. I'm guessing we might be the only one's there so we shouldn't be too hard to find. Motor home, two guys, and a dog. We'll share a cold one with you. Hope this wind calms and things warm up.
