a friend and his boy are going to la paz in july to fish and do other manly stuff that dads and their sons do. do you have to have a ticket on volaris to use the shuttle and what is the costs/schedule? a google search didn't help much.

I wouldn't think it is dedicated strictly to Volaris customers other than their schedule is aligned with Volaris flights. It is actually operated by Crucero bus lines. It is usually pretty empty so I would think a quick call to Crucero in San Diego could answer any specific questions you may have.

Confirm that they still operate the shuttle from the San Diego Termainal. Another option from the Depot is the trolley to the border or the grey hound bus.

The Crucero bus still operates out of the Greyhound terminal on Broadway.

Another option (cheap) is to drive them to the border, have them walk across and get the cab to the airport on the other side (about $12-20 for the ride depending on the number of people and bags - always ask first).

Then there's the expensive option - door-to-door shuttle from San Diego directly to the airport. I live in North Park and the fare for the van regardless of the number of people, up to about six, is $70. www.taxisairport.com
