We passed through Cd Constitución a couple of days ago and they've added a new twist to sort of hectic main drag traffic through the town.
There are the North and Southbound lanes down the middle of Hwy 1 for through traffic which, If I understand correctly, are for use if you plan to
drive through town without making any stops.
Then there are the service roads on each side of the Hwy to use if you will be turning on a side street or pulling in to a business, or if you need to
cross over from the North to the South side of the Hwy, etc.
Now on the service roads they have put up "no left turn" signs at all intersections (except one) and have all of the Left lanes blocked. So if you're
on a service road on one side of the main drag and need to get to the other, you have to turn right on to a side street and come back to Hwy 1 and
make a left to get to the other side.
Is this what we should have been doing all along? We thought you weren't suppose to make any Left turns from the main hwy so we've been using the side
roads and making left hand turns across the Hwy to the service road or side streets, crossing over like everybody else does.
What this also means is that once you're on one of the side service roads, you have to go all the way through town on it and return to the Hwy outside
of town.
Can anybody shed any light on the proper driving procedure ?

Just came through town yesterday, from La Paz to Loreto. Planned a short visit to Ley's. Had to pass the store and, and about 3 blocks passed, decided
to make a right turn and go back south on one of the parallel side roads. Only way to cross the center roadway is from a 90 degree intersection.
Wonder who thought this up. Always an interesting town to drive through and never the same. Seems like they're experimenting to find the best way to
keep traffic flowing, but sofar are at a loss, it seems.

Until I can find a way to bypass that town completely the only way to drive through there is at 15 mph with your eyes straight ahead until it
completely fades from your rear view mirror
