Trailer Parks on ocean side from Rosarito to Guerro Negro??

Bajafun777 - 5-11-2010 at 05:55 PM

OK, looking for a trailer park to put my 37 ft. 3 slideouts 5th wheel. Would like one with at least a jaccuzzi if not also a pool. Went down to Baja Seasons and talk about deserted, WOW, have not seen it soooo bad:( only about 10 trailers there and I saw nobody actually in or around those trailers, kind of spooky. I have been looking to park my trailer there for 4 years, since I first thought about finding a clean place to take it with security that long ago. I was waiting until I was retired and Bam was I in for a rude awaking this early morning when I drove down there. I had talked to people that had been there 10 years or better and loved the park but their trailers and wood porches the built were all gone this morning. The pool and jaccuzzi dirty needs immediate cleaning went to La Fonda(food and cold beer great as usual) afterwards and in talking with a few people there were told the following. It appears last year the Mexican Soliders surrounded the place as several prime wanted Cartel Members were staying there and having a big party with 20 party girls or more (OK, nothing wrong with the 20 party girls but the Cartel members are another story,LOL). It appears everyone was forced to stay in their trailers until the soldiers check on each and every person there. They arrested only 2 Cartel members and the others got away. The 20 party girls ran out down the free rode and donated to the Cartel members sexually as they were not paid due to the raid, dang now that ain't right!! So, I am left looking again and would like to find something that can handle a 37ft. 5th wheel with at least a jaccuzzi, any suggestions or maybe a casita that has access to a jaccuzzi and at a reasonable price, remember I said retired not Promoted to a high paying CEO oil job, LOL. Take care and open to any suggestions or recommendations.:?: bajafun777

Please remember I said a 37 ft. 5th wheel, so I need wide turn radius areas if possible due to very tight turns may cause "bad language" being used at the stress turns,LOL. Later---------------- bajafun777

Posada Don Diego, Irene maybe you can advise?

Are you saying Baja Seasons is deserted because of one night of problems that caused everyone to freak out? If so, since that doesn't make any sense to me, I think it will come back and if they are hurting now you may be able to lock in a good deal on a choice spot.

Very true, Baja Seasons has in the past been very nice, spacious, store, laundry room, restaurant left a bit to be desired, but the drinks were good, plus there is always the ocean right in front of you.

I was not there when the soldiers came nor do I know exactly what happened but I am saying the place is bare so to speak. People that I had talked to several times in the past and were long time residents there are GONE and Dismantled their wooden porches. Again, not sure of everything that happened but those that talked to me about it were from the area and they were saying it was pretty intense. I have not seen its pool and jaccuzzi having the dirt and trash in it like this time and was told by one of the workers there that they clean them only on the weekend for those coming in for the weekend, which just made me focus on looking elsewhere. Yes, I did the cost saving talk but they said the prices are what they have always been, hmmm wonder how that has been working for them,LOL. Sometimes people just do not get it, in business during tough times you may have to reduce in order to get, just a thought here. If the service was as it was I would probably still be looking at Baja Seasons and the little cafe/bar there is also suppose to only be opened on weekends which may or may not be true who knows maybe the nomads do,LOL. Take care and any suggestions would appreciate addresses, phone numbers, directions something to help me find the places not just names. Later--- bajafun777

Seems to me you are looking for an RV resort then, jacuzzi, etc. we also have traveled Baja extensively for many years in our RV's, the fun is exploring the remote places and taking a dip in either the Pacific or Sea of Cortez, very few places here have a jacuzzi, but you could always invest in one of the inflatable ones many RV'ers carry with them that would take one item off of your "looking"for list. Estero Beach does have what you are looking for, you can Google them.

Bajafun777 - 5-12-2010 at 06:46 AM

Not looking for any inflatable jaccuzzi and know only a select few have one or a pool and these select ones are what I am looking for. My Jeep, Truck and motorcycle will find all of the other secret fun places down and around where I am at. I would have probably went ahead and made Baja Seasons my choice however with less service and things not kept up why would I along with paying their old top price when they actually had those services? Wished they could get it together and go forward but seems they are stuck with this is the way we always did it and they will come and pay no matter what! WELL, guess what they are not coming from what I saw and apparently not forgetting in talking with a few locals, so they had better re-think their business dealings right now. Hell, who knows maybe I will just break down and do it anyway but if I can find something else, hmmmm. I am not worried about driving around Mexico, I do it weekly and have been driving to Maztalan for years, as well as in Baja all parts without any problems, I know we are one of the thousand lucky ones not encountering any trouble. OK, if I go without the jaccuzzi and pool what trailer parks offer best security for you and your trailer, possible cafe/store, etc.

Why is this in Photo Gallery?
Why limit yourself to an RV park? You're self-contained, right? A cheap lot at Santa Rosalillita would do you. Bahia Asuncion? Or is it all the other gringos you want around?

shari - 5-15-2010 at 08:56 AM

good idea wilderone....get a cheap lot and put in a snazzy jacuzzi....I can just see all us nomads in the new hot tub!!!!woooo hooooo

irenemm - 5-15-2010 at 05:09 PM

Your trailer size is not a problem for here. But we do not have a pool or jacuzzi just lots of space. our new page is being worked on and the English version is just to funny. it shows some of the park lots of weeds to get rid of still.
but the spaces are really big and cement patio some even have a shed or too.
if your interested let me know and I will u2u the prices for live in rate.
We have a night watchmen and we all live on the property.
so we really don't have a problems
