Looking forward to hearing the scoop on what's changed since FM-T days!

Is there a FREE 7 day FMM?

For the 180 day FMM, is there still no trust of Mexican officers by their government to collect the fee, thus requiring the visitor to find a bank to pay and then return for the final authorization stamp?

Thanks!

DK, I'm crossing in Downtown Mexicalli
tomorrow, I have 180 fmt from last month,
so technically it is good for another
150 days. Although I'm going to stop
at Mex IMM, to make sure I don't need
the new fmm. I'm curious about the free
7 day fmm's, if they still exist, I'll ask.
There was a posts since May 1, the
the poster said he got the what I believed
was the new fmm, and was told to pay
within 5 days at a bank down the road.
But I've always thaught you had to go
back to IMM to get a validation

Someone here recently posted that only the bank stamp was needed....no return to IMM
Anyone know how discover baja is going to handle this ???

i wouldn't stop...

you may open a "can of worms":o

if yours is good for another 150 days
you're "good to go"

Don't stop, bad idea. The only person that will possibly challenge your current fmt during your trip is the img guy and he probably will say you need a new one. Save your money and frustration.....dt

It will be great to learn the new system... but, like the others... why risk a fresh hassle if you still have time on your paid one? Thanks for the thought!
