A request to those posting photos via remote site

Please re-size the photos to 640X480 ('large' on Photobucket). I know it's hard to beleive but lots of folks are still using 13" or 15" CRTs and don't have 17" or 19" flat screens or if they do, don't have their browser window filling up the entire screen. Larger photos mess up the continuity of the thread.
Thanks

Just in case you were referring to the photos I've posted I changed my settings from 15" screen (800x600) to Large (640x480).

I just replaced my dinosaur 15" screen to a LED 24" screen (finally!). What a difference, you have to read moving your head not just your eyes!

Thanks for the heads up!

edit for spelling too...

A couple of other people requested the same thing, so on my latest thread I did go back and resize all the pics and will stick to the 640 in the future---

I will suggest to anyone, however, that the quality is better if the pix are resized before they are put on Photobucket. When I resized these on photobucket, there was a very noticeable difference.

Now, I could go back, resize them on photoshop, then repost them on photobucket, etc.---------don't think that will happen!

So next time, I will shrink them first. Thanks for the reminder, Santiago.

Santiago,

I now have a new question. Someone told me that the 800 pixel size should not be problem on a 15" screen. I looked at some photos on nomads that are 800 pixels wide on my other laptop with a 15" screen and they seemed to fit quite well.

Now the ones that were 1024 pixels wide, that was different????

Thanks----

A very small program called FastImageResizer will let you re-size groups of pictures at one time. and you select the output size in pixels. It places them in a folder within the folder the originals are. About 1 second a picture. - Just drag and drop.

Not only old computers but also the newest smaller ones like netbooks have a maximum horizontal width of 1024 pixels. Subtract from that the left column that has your name and other info and 800 pixels is about the maximum foto width for nomads using 1024 pixels as the width setting, else they get a horizontal scroll bar.

Anybody know what the iPad width in pixels is?

iPad: no I don't but a good point on the minis. I travel with an HP mini and I'm constantly ending up with a scroll bar.

jeans: phunny you mention that; SWMBO says the same thing when I ask her why she wears those coke-bottle glasses to bed.....

when you "hotlink" just add the size in the code you post...
