btw, maybe this is a good post to a simple project.
Somehow, my gardener managed to bust a pipe on my sprinkler valve last Friday. Went home without mentioning it, of course. Backyard flooded that night. Simple repair, right? Cut the existing pvc to size, installed new, and, voila, ready.
Except that the valve running the backyard water, now close to 20 years old, decided to give up the ghost and broke the valve stam. Off to the store for parts and then, with my plumbing soldering knowledge, proceeded to fix it. Again, so far so good. Started the cistern pump, which, because of opening the line, now had lost its prime. No problemo, right? Just take the plug out of the pump and prime it. However, the plug, also being of undeterminate age, decided to brake in half upon removal. This was the time I finally decided to give up, my back seconding the motion. Got a plumber (ex loreto bay), who took a look at what parts to need, and garanteed me to be back MANANA at 9am. That was yesterday and I haven't seen him yet. Fun running a house without water.
This is my lament for the day.
Roger, sorry for hijacking your thread, but this seemed to be a good one to vent my frustration.

I would gladly give the deer head mount a decent home, if I only had a way to collect it.

"Earl" could use another friend.


Do you think if you did any further into that storage unit you might come up with a moose or buffalo mount? I'd REALLY like one of those!
