I guess I'm as dense as KAT. I can only find pics from the March YT tournament and a tournament in '09.

hook - how's the bite in san carlos?
all my buds who used to go to RP are peeed about the Mayan's new airport location and attendant fees and expensive cab rides to town - $25 each way - there is a boycott of RP fomenting among the AZ flyers who used to land right in town.
now they are thinking Guaymas/San Carlos and San Felipe as the new spots to burn avgas towards.

i have lots of pics and hopefully they will be on the web site soon.i quit posting on here because i spent alot of money on a high end nikon and to take the pics down to 50kb just doesnt work. maybe im using the wrong program ?

classicbajabronco - 5-28-2010 at 04:08 PM

Photoshop.....once I figured it out it is super easy...and it will make that Nikon Shine!!

Really easy to do just go to file click send to web/email and you can dial a 500kb down to 50kb with a couple right clicks.

I have the full CS3 suite and it set me back nearly $2k, Photoshop by itself is a few hundred.

Just got back from registration for the Ladies International Fishing Tournament. My wife has decided to enter and so I will captain her.

While there, a boater out of San Carlos had pics of a 180-230 lb. (various estimates) yellowfin tuna he caught a couple hours earlier. Blind strike, actually a double but the other one, similar size, came off. He caught it in a 25 foot boat, supposedly. It was caught within 20 miles of SC, not sure exactly where.

Other than that, lots of billfish around but they are finnicky (full moon?). Dorado are around but they are small; you gotta work hard to find ones that are 20 lbers. Still early, but lots of sargasso this year.

I'll know more after two consecutive, 8 hour days of fishing this weekend.

I have a couple pilot friends who fly here regularly. They rave about the efficiency and good feelings from the Guaymas airport. The small San Carlos airfield has closed again, a victim of the economic downturn.
