Hy 1 at Laguna Chapala, gravel road North to Gonzaga?....dtstimbo - 5-26-2010 at 10:05 AM
My guess is the San Francisco turnoff between Vizcaino and San Ignacio.

I agree with dt. I lost a the collar on my main carrier bearing on the shaft of an old Chevy one time in Puertecitos and I was wondering if I was ever
gonna see that lonely intersection again. If you break down in Puertecitos, you have moved to Puertecitos.dtbushpilot - 5-26-2010 at 10:09 AM

Jim
could be if the picture was a year or two old, that road is paved now for a few miles...dtKen Bondy - 5-26-2010 at 11:14 AM
Fun stuff, you are all too good. It's the intersection of Mex 1 and Mex 5 at Chapala looking west down Mex 5 towards Coco's and Gonzaga. It was
taken 6 years ago so it might not look the same now.

I would say that I was going to guess that intersection, but that sure sounds fishy---like sure you were after everyone else did.
So Ken, back at you----Where is This?
Need to go back and get a photo that is not blurred.

I knew both answers but was too late.
Actually, I think I'll join in.
Where is this picture taken?
Hint: it was hot there even by baja standards.

No, that's the pool by the restaurant at the Tripui RV Park in Pt. Escondido. That's the Sierra Giganta in the background.
I thought everyone would know. I haven't been there in years so I don't know how the fire affected this area.dtbushpilot - 5-27-2010 at 10:07 AM

Boy is that embarassing!! Of course you are absolutely correct. East, west, they both lead to water. Thanks Barry, and it's not picky I guess it's too late to edit it now....
