First off thanks a lot to everyone who gave me suggestions and ideas for rancho santa veronica. We left El Centro about 2:00pm Saturday and arrived at RSV around 4:30 after beer stops at la rumorosa. That night we had a carne asada and some beer for dinner. Camping was $10 per person and it was an awesome night night for sleeping outdoors. However there were people partying all night. The partying lasted till about 5:30am loud,1oud music all night....
Sunday came much to early and it was time to get ridding. We left camp about 8:15 and headed to the saw mill. They had a rodeo there on Saturday and there were a lot of people camping in the area. We got gas $4 a gallon and headed to rancho del rodeo (I think was the name)...however the restaurant was closed so no breakfast. Oh well, we split to rancho ponderosa we knew they were having a motorcycle/quad race... that started at 11:00. We made it to ponderosa about 11:30 just in time for a few beers as we watched the finish of the pro, expert and vet race. We made our way back to la rumorosa and then back to RSV. we drove on the highway most of the way. Does anyone know of a trail that cuts from la rumorosa back to RSV that way we don't have to ride the hwy ? Total ride milage was 131 miles for the day...A quick trip to the pool and a couple more beers and it was time to pack it up. We had a great time and it seems the perfect spot to start a trip. So many places to go from there. I can't wait until next time. Probably in 2 weeks when they have the code race in El Jacume. Anybody going ? Until next time take care...Paul
