Here are a handful of black and whites I took nearly 30 years ago. These were taken with a large format view camera. Each negative measures roughly 4x5". Enjoy!

Part of the old salt wharf at Laguna Guerrero Negro

Workers at the huge tomato fields south of San Quintín. These guys bound the plastic around the budding tomato plants.

This girl with her friends/family were weeders. She was perhaps 11 or 12. The air was heavy with dust and fertilizer, hence the mask.

This was the lighthouse for Laguna Guerrero Negro. Does anyone know if this is still standing?

Very nice, captures the starkness of GN very well.

Very, very nice---great contrast in the black and white.

Have any more? Of course you do----would like to see them.

Hi Diana -- I added another image from the archives. I will do some digging through my old files to see what else I can find. I recall a b/w negative from the Cataviña area that I would like to find. Thanks for asking... Best, Jim

4x5 those were the days! Wonderful shots. Reminds me I should go through all those slides trays from the 70's & 80's that I never seem to have the motivation to look at.

I shot a Toyo view and part of the appeal for me was loading the trays in the dark on the road. My wife carried the big camera on her hip like women have carried babies since Adam and Eve. I couldn't afford the lenses I really wanted so I dropped down to medium format. Great shots Stimbo. Thanks, takes me way back.
