Mail forwarding to San Jose/Cabo

Hi all. I am new to this forum. My wife and I are planning on renting a home in San Jose for two months beginning in January. We have traveled extensively to Cabo in the past--staying 3 to 4 weeks.

My question is what is my best approach for dealing with mail? The US post office will not hold mail for 60 days--and while I pay most bills on-line, I would want to, at least occasionally, get my paper mail.

Any suggestions? And what kinds of costs would I be looking at--I know shipping items from Cabo to the US is quite expensive.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Is there someone you can trust to pick up and read your mail stateside?

Anything important, they could scan it and email it to you. That's assuming you do not need the original document in-hand in BCS. Just the information.

We use Mail Boxes Etc.

The lag time is about 10 days to two weeks so you would want to stop the forward service then. Otherwise you will wind up with mail in San Jose and you in the states. I tried to find a number for their office in San Ysidro but could not. I think that you should be able to get in touch with them and get it set up before you arrive.
The cost is about $40 for three people, no business mail...$47 for a business account.
