Just had the first of the tuna I caught Wednesday. Seared it to perfection, except for the surprise hard deposits inside the flesh! They didn't add
anything to the flavor, pretty gritty when chewed, a nasty surprise. About an 1/8 of an inch roundish and I could mash them down like the calcium

They were inside the flesh. At first I thought they came from the wasabe I'd just mixed up, but happened again without the wasabe. Anyway, I'm not

If you freeze or cook rocks, you still have rocks. I'm not too worried about getting worms from 15 pound tuna. When I found them I went through what I

Worms/parasites...I have caught salmon, steelhead and sierra with them inside. And it tasted yummy, however I didn't know it had worms...guess it's
better than having crabs.... The ones i found were medium hard oblong while pellets. I have also found them in bunnies.

Don't know how to add a photo to an open thread......picture of fish gout with something most will recognize for scale. It won't crush with just
fingers, but teeth or a knife will crush it.
If I hadn't caught this myself, and filleted it myself, and carried it to the refrigerator myself...I would swear someone had dropped it into the dirt
and that's how these things got into it.
I tried yesterday morning to get another fish, but the water has turned over here....10 degrees colder. Tuna are gone.
