Those numbers looks like some place in Thailand... wow you do get the weather down there .... guess that is the trade off.. for getting out and away with good fishing... and some good friends.. an acceptable trade off in my book.. have fun and drink lots of fluids.. or should it be stay hydrated ... :lol:

I thought I had some kind of problem on the back porch cause I had a straight line of water on the Saltillo Tile, but it was just drip that comes off of the roof every morning. So I guess when we tell people we love it in Baja and it is a "dry heat" we are just kidding ourselves into thinking it is not as hot as it feels.

It's a little dryer inside and almost no bugs. With the fan on, inside is better especially if you read in bed like I do. And I like a bed to sleep on. It is VERY quiet here this time of year. Just the way I like it :light:

3. what is the recorded long term average for temp etc for mid july? (if those records have even been tracked?)

it was 113 F in PHX yesterday with 2% relative humidity, the humidity tied an all time low. the record heat for another date was 122 F. in town here.

100% humidity = RAIN! total condensation and precipitation out of gaseous state (cloud) occurs at 100% Relative humidity or when the temp and dew point difference spread = 0 degrees of separation

Yikes----don't know how you all survive on that side. Five years in Calexico was enough----was not always a dry heat there.

I am missing the June gloom that has left here---like it overcast and cool. :lol:

Hey Diane:

You're welcome to some of your June gloom here in Oakland. It's after 12 noon and it's overcast, 59 degrees and 78% humidity. I'm in wool booties, warm clothing and I am still freezing while sitting here trying to work on the PC.

I am not at all upset though, that I'm missing out on the "fun" weather in Mulege!

The first year/time that we stayed late, into mid-July, we were miserable. The thermometer only read 90-95 degrees, and the humidity was in the mid 60's. Didn't 't seem like it should've felt so hot and miserable. When my brain finally cooled enough so that I could check out a heat index chart, I could see why we'd felt like it would be preferable to jump off the nearest cliff than stay any longer.

The perceived temp. was in the 100-117 degree range (higher as temp and humidity increased) day and night. And then being in the sun could increase that temp by up to 15 degrees. Look at plants in that weather? No way! Not even at 5:30 am.

What happens at 100%? I'd say, heatstroke!

Loved doing some landscaping in the summer in Bend a few years ago---warm days, dry air, only occasionally hot, with enough heat after the sun goes down to sit outside and have dinner...of course by the middle of September the nights started dipping into the 20s again...

We have hardly seen the sun at all this past couple of weeks out here on the beach. The temperature has been running close to the dew point and we are in need of some warmer weather now!!!
