Our B & B is in full swing .... $40 single and $50 doubles. Sleep in a queen or double bed, use the wireless internet, watch full cable TV (BBC, FOX etc.), eat Les's famous breakfast scrambled eggs and of course .... the ocean view from the porch is yours to enjoy all day long ! Your 7th day is FREE if you stay a week :bounce::bounce:

Blanca and Les, good to meet you!

On our way back to Mulege we drove the scenic Pacific coastal route south from Asuncion to Abreojos-- actually, we let the girls drive as there's no traffic to speak of and ya' gotta go slow so its a perfect place for youngsters to practice.

We stopped in to Blanca and Les' place unannounced and by the time we climbed out of the car they were on the porch waiting. "Hi, I'm Mulegena and I just wanted to drop by and introduce myself," I called up to Blanca.

Well, our quick 5-minute stop turned into an easy half-hour pit stop. Les and Blanca invited us in, gave us a tour of their beautiful B&B (wow, what a kitchen! and what wonderful aromas; Les had a curry simmering).

We then had a sit-down on the front porch with northwesterly view of the ocean-- Shari & Blanca can see each other waving or sending smoke signals on a clear day I'm almost certain). Blanca treated us to homemade cake and a beverage while we chatted about the La Bocana Bike Club and her other civic passions.

Great to finally meet these two Nomads and Baja fulltimers!

I recognize the house from the times we have driven through La Bocana on our way to Campo Rene. From the pictures, the inside looks beautiful----very nice.

You said that you were working on one where dogs would be welcome inside? That will be nice.

Good luck and hope you have a great fishing season this year.

Here is a little plug from a good friend (me), but I would say the same things if I were a stranger who had found his way to their B & B:

Blanca and I taught English as a Second Language together in San Diego during the 1990s. She is a great person with an international presence, being Brazilian/American. Her integrity is unparalleled.

I have since met Les on a number of occasions, and he too is a fine person; a perfect match for Blanca. They have also visited me several times in Mulege.

I attended their wedding which was held there at the house. :bounce: What a great time! Their assimilation into the village of La Bocana and it's people is a total integration of mutual respect and admiration.

They have successfully established a town basura clean up campaign; not easy to do. And the youth bicycle team they are funding with support from Nomads and others...people like you, is such a worthwhile project. It boosts the pride and self-esteem for the local kids, helping to make La Bocana a great place to grow up and stay out of trouble. Please continue to support this project any way you can.

Oh, and look at their prices for a stay at their beautiful B & B. You couldn't do better anywhere.
