Any body have any suggestions for a good USA phone dial-around to use when calling the Baja from California?
I had a good one once, but then it raised its rates, and later it imposed a monthly service charge.Ken Cooke - 6-29-2010 at 11:30 AM
Go to your neighborhood liquor store, and purchase your phone cards there.
I can call Colombia for $2 - 1hr. 45 min. house
or $2 - 30 minutes cellular w/International Link calling card.
All of the other services are a bunch of hype. That's been my realization after meeting my wife and having to call her 5x per week before she finally
was allowed to move here.

Localphone - 1.5c/min to many landlines like Tijuana and Mexicali (varies by area code), 8.8c/min to Mexico mobiles. No monthly fees.
I use them as an internet phone (VoIP) service, incoming and outgoing, and for forwarding to Mexico mobile.
But (more suitable for what you want) they also have a system where you can dial a number (local to wherever you choose in the US) that then forwards
to the specified non-US number. Plus it can be used as a calling card (2c/min extra if accessed via a toll-free number).
