Thank you for the update and the background behind procession and festivities.
The horse parade as well as the dancers are worth the attendance. However, your CASA alone is worth he trip to San Ignacio.

It is when I hear about the traditional, religious, family festivals in Baja that I really miss it.

It is quite the wonderful event. Especially given the location amidst the desert. We've spend hours enjoying the fiesta in that beautiful zocalo. If
there was any down side, it would be that given the time of the year, it is quite toasty there.

gracias Juanita for all of that interesting info on your saint...fascinating. Our Traditional Fiestas here involve the virgin and are celebrated on
Asension day Aug.15th...a large statue of the Virgin is carried throughout the village in a procession and she even gets taken on a panga ride out
around Isla Asuncion...lucky girl. These fiestas are truly remarkable and more Nomads should plan to attend them...the horses are simply fabulous and
their riders are decked out in the coolest attire!!!
