This has the makings of a good motto. Maybe the Constitucion police should paint it on their vehicles.

If they have additional room maybe they could add something about honesty and integrity.

SHAME ON YOU SKEET!

It's spelled "WIMP"

Mexicorn - 7-13-2010 at 06:09 PM

Dam Skeet reminds me of the back of my favorite comic when I was a kid. Big bully kicking sand in the face of the little skrawny guy. I'm going to order me some of that "Charles Atlas" drink so I can stand up for myself.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

This whole place has been on a feeding frenzy lately. It'll calm down.
It's contentious times like this that sometimes breathe life into the site. It can get dull at times.

desertcpl - 7-13-2010 at 06:38 PM

please Skeet,, I am an old fart also, and I can under stand now what your saying.

but please we need to move on from the way it has been done for years,

Well FINALLY!!!! Skeet, you've hit upon the perfect solution to resolve this entire situation!!:bounce: It appears both sides want the same things!

Those traveling to & through Constitucion would like to encounter:

People who respect persons from another culture, good or bad.
Policemen who respect the laws of their own country.
People who will be kind, respectful, tolerant & peaceful.
And those travelers are asking: Where are they?:?:

Why does a TIMESHARE SALESMAN call others "whimps":?:

Tourists with MONEY.

Ideally, the Tourists could stay home and just send the money, but that probably wouldn't work.

Thanks to all the responders!!

Now "We" know who to stop at the Border!

No Boose! Just in a Lousy Mood as I just got notified that the "Damn' Doctors want to put me in the Horspital and give me another Stent.

Frank - 7-14-2010 at 06:37 AM

Skeet are you getting that Stent in San Diego?

maspacifico - 7-14-2010 at 07:00 AM

Good luck Skeet.....increased blood flow is always a good thing.

Skeet/Loreto - 7-14-2010 at 07:06 AM

No, getting it in Amarillo.

Increased Blood Flow?? WOW! now I will be able to give those young Whimps a Bad Time.
More Brain Power to try to get them to be "Good Citizens: while in Baja and especially Constitution.

Sure wish some of you "Travelers on the Only Federal Hwy" Through Constitution would look up and Report on the Story behind the Memorial South of Constitution. You might find it interesting.

Skeet

ELINVESTIG8R - 7-14-2010 at 07:08 AM

Skeet I know you will be OK. Go get the stent and come back and fight on.

Fraternally yours

David Elinestig8r

So mote it Be.

Iflyfish - 7-14-2010 at 07:29 AM

Increased cerebral blood flow could help a lot!

Hope all turns out well fellow Nomad. Really I do. I am the sensitive type.

Out of respect for you I will not come to Baja till October, by that time you should be done with your implant and it will be lobster season and the fish will be biting and maybe the police extortion in CC will be gone as well.

Udo - 7-14-2010 at 08:54 AM

SKEET:

After your return from your stent, go to COSTCO and buy some Omega 3 tablets.
Take two a day for four months then one a day as long as you want to live.
Amazing stuff!

MrBillM - 7-14-2010 at 08:55 AM

One thing you might want to take into consideration in making medical decisions is that the Estate Tax will be renewing on 01 Jan so there isn't a lot of time to take advantage of the current benefit.

Why go so far when they have all of that great medical technology in CC you are always talking about?

DavidE - 7-14-2010 at 10:18 AM

SKEET this transcends ideology....

I may be in the same boat. I am headed north just as soon as my pension check arrives, to see about my angina attacks. My Mexican cardiologist ordered me into a hospital so I go directly to a medical center upon arrival.

I am looking forward (?) to open-heart surgery, a bypass, stent, angioplasty or whatever procedural tortures they have in store for me.

I smile because the alternative would be looking at pitch black dirt.

Good luck to you.

Skeet/Loreto - 7-14-2010 at 03:45 PM

David E"
If you have any doubts go to the Merced Calif. Heaqrt Center then to Modesto General Hospital.. Great Care. After a 3 Bypass the doctor gave me 20 more years.

If the Tread shows up bad. Do it. but remember that Pecker Cather Hurts like hell!!

Good Luck

fishabductor - 7-14-2010 at 03:47 PM

My father had a 7 way bypass about 4 years ago. He did pretty good until he started drinking and smoking again.

Anyone else ever hear of a 7 way bypass? before his I had only heard of a 3 way bypass.

Ok now I really got to get out on the water!!

[Edited on 7-14-2010 by fishabductor]

Frank - 7-14-2010 at 04:53 PM

My wife is part of a Cardiac cath team in San Diego. If you can make it to the Cath team, odds are in your favor that you will make it.

Some sayings she has...

Death has no schedule. They are on call 24/7. Ill tell you when that pager goes off in the middle of the night, she is out of there like a bat out of hell.

Time is muscle. The longer you deprive the heart of blood the more tissue dies.

If the Dr says you need a stent, go get it done now, please. The ones that tear her up the most are the ones that could of been saved if they had a little more time.

Ive seen them put pacemakers in someone in 2.5 hours. A stent is just as quick.

She is out on a call right now, Ill ask her about the 7 way bypass when she gets home.

Natalie Ann - 7-14-2010 at 05:01 PM

Skeet, my dear amigo.... I wish you excellent good luck with this upcoming surgery.
I'm lightin' a candle and sayin' a prayer for your speedy recovery.

I know you'll do well with this....
compared to a bypass, the stent is a piece of cake. Lowfat cake, of course.

True. I'm sure when they got that news it was not scheduled.

vgabndo - 7-14-2010 at 05:15 PM

C'mon Skeet...the Devil didn't make you do it.

You're a "wingnut". You aren't alone, and as long as you don't get a show on FOX, you can't do much harm. I expect you to be you.

I'm sorry you're sick again. I invite you to be conscious and mindful as you approach the end of a life lived "hard". Notwithstanding your being "saved" none of us is getting out of this alive. The world, and it's people, which have so dissapointed you are in a situation far too dire for pessimism.

You could win in two ways here. You could decide to not go on rants against people because you are afraid of what is in the future for you. You could accept that you are old and that death is age appropriate. There is peace in that reality.
By withholding your pessimism, you could become at least neutral in the battle between those of us who value rationality and hope, and those armegedden cultists with whom you've aligned yourself.

Perhaps someone can offer a better way to express the feeling that if one is: not part of the solution, they are part of the problem.

It seems you have several interesting paths around you from which to choose.

Peace and blessings

best of luck to you amigo...love your posts by the way, always interesting and entertaining:cool:

Wingnut - 7-15-2010 at 01:22 PM

Hey Skeet: Don't let it get you down. I've had a quadruple bypass and thought I was good to go. They didn't know back then that you could clog up the old arteries later. Now I have had 9 stents and a pacemaker. It can seem to be a bit of a pain, but getting it done beats the alternative. It's really interesting that after the ninth stent, (five went in at one time), the doc put me on a drug called Vytorin. It handles the cholesterol that is produced by what you eat and what you inherited genetically. Since then, (four years), everything has been clear and great. And whatever they tell you, beer does lower the blood sugar and is good for you, just fattening. So, relax, get it done and come back to give us more insight on the baja!
:bounce:

Hook - 7-15-2010 at 02:45 PM

So, the rant is due to a needed stent or FOX News?

Whew, thought someone had slipped him a Dylan Thomas book of poems........

Skeet/Loreto - 7-15-2010 at 02:54 PM

I don't even watch Fox News anymore. Once for about 5 minutes last week.

Glad to hear about you success with all the Stents. Hope that I can do as well as you.
