SKEET PARTY

 Pages:  1

Udo - 7-15-2010 at 03:59 PM

I'd come scept I'm too far North.

Baja Country Club would be good for me as well as DavidK.

I think I would bring a live octopus.

monoloco - 7-15-2010 at 04:07 PM

I'd come to Constitution, I ain't afraid of the cops.

Natalie Ann - 7-15-2010 at 04:10 PM

It's a date, Skeet....
although I'm not escorting you during the period of tomato throwing.;D:lol:

I do respectfully submit that Mulege is the furthest north I'm wanting to frequent. Where are our pilots - we can fly over Constitution.:dudette:

Bajahowodd - 7-15-2010 at 04:15 PM

Geez. Do you really think there are folks here that "hate your guts"? There are many different points of view among the posters on this forum. But I'd hate to think, with the possible exception of the occasional troll, there is anything approaching hate going on.

However, the idea of a meet and greet is very tempting. But not quite so certain that you're going to get DK and DT in the same room voluntarily. So maybe you could persuade Mano Negro to be the MC. :P:P:P

Skeet/Loreto - 7-15-2010 at 04:23 PM

Hey ! You Good Folks, Let us Talk about it and see if we could come up with something that we could all enjoy!!
I want to Warn all the Ladies , that if we have any Dancin, that i might try to get into their Panties, so just be aware and take the necessary Precautions!!

I think that all of us could have a good time as we did at the Book signing so many years ago.

Lets think about it. and Talk about/ We could meet and talk and look each other in the /eye and have a handshake or Two.

Skeet

bajabass - 7-15-2010 at 04:51 PM

I'd love to meet you Skeet. Not to many people that tell you how they REALLY feel anymore. Rub elbows and throw back a few with the Skeeter? Any day!

Skeet/Loreto - 7-15-2010 at 05:18 PM

To all you Youngsters:

Us Ole Farts are not as bad as some would tell you.

Come Join us and maybe learn an thing or Two. We will tell you the Truth.

Skeet

BajaOkie - 7-15-2010 at 05:34 PM

Count me in

Howard - 7-15-2010 at 05:52 PM

Nothing like a handshake and throwing a couple beers back.

Even if don't agree on some things doesn’t mean we can't try and enjoy a laugh or two and learn something from each other. If it doesn’t work out, we go our separate ways with being a little more enriched.

You bring to the table a lifetime of experiences. I bring...? 40 years ago I was able to recite all of the US presidents. Today I can bring... Oh chit, I forgot already what I could bring.

Skip San Quintin - they really do like unions here. They're not big on bible waving evangelists though. I have heard there are a lot of souls to be saved in Constitucion however so maybe that should be in your flight plans.

Bring lots of cash; small bills...

Skeet,
I have to say my hat's off to you. Youre a genius  I knew from all your controversial postings that you had an ulterior motive to it all ( you old party animal you). I had no idea what it was last night when I posted the above, but I knew it was something.

So, it was all about a party. WOW :wow: I'm putting all this in my files for when I retire and want some attentiion.

You are my mentor, Skeet. Your wish is my command. Keep me posted as to when and where the party is and I'm there. :bounce::lol::bounce:

Iflyfish - 7-15-2010 at 08:37 PM

I would love for you to host a party in Ciudad Constitution and do a benifit for the children at the Hospital and bring them a ton of jackets.

If you can guarantee the safety of your fellow Nomads and talk the City Fathers and Mothers into stopping the Police Extortion that his happening there, then I and I am sure many other Nomads would be most happy to tilt an elbow with you, hell, I'd even dance with you if you promised to leave my pants alone.

Let us know when you have gotten the committements of the City Fathers and we will make this happen. Stop the Extortion and then let's celebrate with the local people and Party!!

Skeet, while I would not care to socialize with you, I do not hate you. Hate is a really strong emotion that I save for really important things like human injustices, etc., But there are some people with whom I would not want to spend my time. Intolerance is just something I choose not to be around. Because I can accept that you have the right to your thoughts and words, does not mean I would chose to have a party with you.

Just as I avoid people who lack integrity and have few scruples, I avoid the intolerant, but I do understand that everyone has their own reasons for living life as they do.

If you have the party, do have fun and I do hope your medical issues are solved successfully----even if I never take what you say seriously.

So, I've only been on Baja Nomad a few weeks, and am unsure as to how bad Skeet really is. So far it seems mostly sarcastic.

Could someone start a thread that lists all the offensive things Skeet has written, and writes in the future? It is too hard to find them in a search.

Skeet has around 3090 posts and probably 3000 have been offensive, but it's just Skeet being Skeet.
The strange thing is, some here will ignore him or laugh it off untill someone pushes a button and the feeding frenzy begins. Those you see being repelled by his comments all of a sudden are acting as though Skeet is an authority who has run amok. "How dare he say such a thing. We expect so much more from professor Skeet."
It's all nonsense...Skeets indecipherable hyperbole and the wounded reactions.

Cut the man some slack...he's been here for a long time and deserves respect for that if nothing else. People who miss this point are just picking a soft target.

i know Skeet and have met him twice personally in Baja. until you meet a man [or woman] and talk with him/her you can't say squat with credulity.
his experiences and from actually LIVING in Loreto for more than 2 decades instead of just beeing a tourist speak volumns.

who cares about his philosophy? it's all good. he has a big heart.
i'll wager that most here are not close to his league as far as baja knowledge is concerned. if you put "Skeet's Baja" in a briefcase - few here could lift it.

rock on Skeet!
Diana T - please do not come to Skeet's party....no buzz kills needed...you wouldn't like the fun anyway. Better play it safe, stay with the wonder bread. hahaha.:lol::lol::rolleyes::P

That is definitely a matter of opinion.:biggrin:

Skeet/Loreto - 7-16-2010 at 12:35 PM

Dennis! You are getting close! I will help you out!

First to DianaT I am not Intolarant. You are 100% Wrong.

Ask Bajalera for an Eyeball to eyeball Judgement after our meeting several years ago.Keep in mind she is from Berkerly

A Description of Skeet from Skeets View.

Have been very undiplomatic for many years. I am known to call a Spade a Spade with out too much Discussion.

My Wife and Children get angry with me and some times say "Your are always RIGHT!!

Being Trained as an Investigator I was taught to always look and discuss the FACTS. Make an Arrest on FACTS not Opinion.

This is one part of my Personality that creats problems with the Younger Generation as it seems to me they make many Statments which are completely False and misleading and just wrong.
\
. I call them Out and try to get them to support their statments They cannot, so start calling me A Racist, A Religious Nut etc. Name calling to cover up their inabliity to prove their Statements.
You youngsters can see this demonstrated by the Protesters who Shout someone down and call it FREE SPEECH,.

To go on with my Review. I have always been interested in People and What makes them Tick? What makes them "Feel and Act" the way they do? Example is GNUKIDS hang up aganist "Rich Folks' and Big Corporations. " Where does he come from??
It is very dificult to really get a Truthful Picure of an Individual from the Internet as it is just Words, therefore I try to get someone to show an ACT, Then I can better Judge them and where they are getting their Ideas.

Folks it is the ACTS of Humans not their Words that changes things.

A good example is Bajalera. Had some choice words with her on this Board, then was invited to her Home in La Paz. Now she was as her words had defined.
A very smart Kind Hearted Liberal and Berkerly Graduate. We got along Great. Both realizing that we are direct oppoistes about life. She came from a very smart upbringing, I came from a very poor and limited Education upbringing.

Another person who fits his words with his true self is Jesse at La Paz, Mike, David K. all who I have met in person.

Now it does weem to me that here are too many who do not want to share their upbringing experiences with the Posters on this Board. I am sorry to say that not doing so makes your words suspect as they are from someone you may have copyed.

Keep trying Dennis.

I wouldn't base my opinion of Skeet from his posts. He seemed a pretty decent sort in person--or at least he did when I met him a few years ago. But I only saw him for a couple of hours, he may have been on his meds.

On this "Baja Board" I think a meeting of old and new, or old and young, however you would prefer it, would be an exciting experience for all involved. I just wish Don Jimmy and J.R. to name a couple could make it. I guess I have as great a time looking back as anticipating the future. There are certianly things to be learned by listening to those who have alot of "time on the ground"! Count me in I'll be happy to listen!

Nah Skeet, my truths come with a small t, not a capital T. I believe the world is primarily made up of perceptions and the seeking of what might be close to a truth---with a small t. But like all people, I am biased in different directions, but it is still with a small t.

Now I guess I was wrong---I thought your truths came with a capital T, but maybe I was wrong. I guess maybe you do accept ALL religions and ALL political beliefs as valuable with good things to offer, and equal to your belief system. Sorry I missed that somewhere along the line.

Good one Skeet, your post really amused me.:lol:

I propose a party in Ciudad Constitution AFTER they stop the EXTORTION of Nomads and other tourists who must travel though their town. At this party we give awards to locals who have contributed time and effort to stop police corruption in Ciudad Constitution. At that time we give the hospital jackets or tangible support for a local charity. We make news with this by doing this in this way. Hopefully we send a message to all of Baja that we are here and we care and we support cities who successfully take on corruption.

Skeet loves this town; it is centrally located and a party there would be an excellent way to support this community and to celebrate their brave action of stopping police extortion. This would also make NEWS about Nomads help local communities fight corruption and supporting local charities in communities that fight corruption. We could toss a very big pebble into a very big pond by doing this and publicizing the heck out of it. This is also another way to multiply the power of our generosity to the people of Baja.

Well, you sure fooled me---------I could swear you did!

Barry

The point of my analogy was that unacceptable behavior does not become acceptable just because the perp has engaged in it for a long time. I could just as easily have substituted, for "Ku Klux Klan member who spews racist remarks"

"person who constantly interrupts others" or

"guy who snatches purses from old ladies" or

"terrorist who bombs synagogues."

Apparently, not everyone got the point of my analogy, and for that, I apologize.

Hmmmmmmm, well, we all come across in different ways. Skeet can sit at my table any time he wants too--------anybody that has accomplished as much as he has is a fountain of good info, in my book.

May all the brothers and sisters unite in compassion for others, eh Barry? Let us say thanks to Skeet, for having brought us together in temperance and in good faith that others may see the good in doing good, really! Without his challenge for truth and illustration of the plight of the community in CdC with his back scratchin' light upon corruption and it's causes, we now see that only through our own strength and independence from fear of the brotherhood of corruption can we come together and stop it. And we are. Now, I hope we don't have to wait too long for Skeet's party! What a hoot, that will be when he and Barry show up! Har harumph.

I am not smart enough to know whether you are poking fun at me, or perhaps partially agreeing with me. It is not "compassion" that I am displaying, it is simply an appreciation of what Skeet contributes, has contributed, and the great life he has led and continues to lead that interests me. I don't know him personally, I don't share or agree with all his beliefs and statements, but I do respect him for all the reasons laid out above.

If a Skeeter-party happens, I am sure it will be a great one, but I was not invited, and won't show up as I don't know any of the folks that probably will show up.

Best, Barry

gnukid - 7-19-2010 at 06:32 PM

Yeah well it's great the support you give to Skeet as part of the Brotherhood! And that you would sit at his table! And awesome the support you two give to the cause against police corruption. It shows that you are really an honest person with morals!

Also I like how you guys really are so proud of each other.

Welcome to the board, El Misterioso! For someone who is so new to Nomads you sure come on strong. Maybe you waqtched from a distance and just had to enter the fray?? As you can tell we have many far ranging opinions joined together by our love of Baja!! Old and new! It'seasy to opinonate and act nasty when you don't sit face to face. Please allow some space. Of course I'm just an old Flower Child! Peace:coolup::coolup:

gnukid - 7-19-2010 at 07:48 PM

Mssterious, also I gather when Skeet and Dave say The Brotherhood or Brother I think it means something different than brother or sister like a normal person's conversation. You might know more than I do about analogies, seems like you guys have a code? Right?

Are you making fun? or poking fun at yourself?

MsTerieus - 7-19-2010 at 08:09 PM

Thanks for the welcome, Tioto ... etc.! I suppose it really should be "La Misteriosa." I was lurking on this board for many weeks, and after that, I posted only occasionally. So I guess I am not a total Newbie. Also, I do frequent another Baja board, where I have met some of the Nomads. I don't think my earlier posts "came on strong," but ever since yesterday, something or someone got me riled up, I guess I've been 'on a roll.' :O

Gnukid: Greetings to you, too. I recall having read several of your posts, weeks and weeks ago. As I recall, most of them were pretty clear and comprehensible. How come, suddenly, I can't understand what you are trying to say (other than that it is NOT very complimentary)?

[Edited on 7-20-2010 by MsTerieus]

Bajame - 7-19-2010 at 08:10 PM

Well Hell!!! When is the party?

gnukid - 7-19-2010 at 08:14 PM

I heard Skeet changed it to the Bohemian Grove the end of this month. More convenient.

I guess you are being 'ironic' as in alanis morissette 'ironic'! Naming yourself msterious and then talking about mystery. thud Confusing tho. And then making things even more confusing by alluding to me being not complimentary, or cue me when I am supposed to be complimentary to you or are you attempting to cue me to not be complimentary to you when you make kkk analogies out of the blue. You are so cute, but confusing and so untimely, during our efforts to discuss CdC and police abuses, community and working together, good you are not at all transparent like some of the other characters. Do you know Skeet's niece?

gnukid - 7-19-2010 at 08:35 PM

I guess it is tiring all the game playing isn't it Msterieus? Well goodbye. Or I guess I will see on the other thread about chain gangs for non-violent women, now you got me all confused.

It's a tough crowd to break into. Gnukid is just playin' with you. He can turn on the obfuscation at will. Now when he layers that on top of his intense socio-political commentary, it is up to you to either slog or refudiate (Sara Palin taught me that word ). Anyway, near as I can tell, he is one of the good guys (I think :?:)

As to Skeet's Party, I must regretfully decline attendance. :( When the date and place is posted, I will think up an excuse at that time. I am leaning towards this one:

I will be in France, where
I can still dance

MsTerieus - 7-19-2010 at 10:12 PM

Dear Toneart,

Thank you very much for your words of support! Maybe my memory fails me, but it seems like Gnukid has 2 different personalities -- one extremely authoritative, but clearly spoken, and the one I see here.

Gnukid: I guess part of my confusion stems from your attempts at sarcasm. Sarcasm doesn't always work too well, in print. Another part comes from this part of your commentary:

"You are so cute, but confusing and so untimely, during our efforts to discuss CdC and police abuses, community and working together..."

What the heck do "our efforts to discuss Cd C" have to do with me?? I have never even posted on a thread related to that topic. Same goes for "police abuses." As to "community and working together," maybe the phrase has some meaning in the context of a particular thread with which I am not familiar; out of context, it means little to me.

Mystery

Well the mystery lives on. So, kinda like Skeet, changing things up, changing his tune often, getting into all sorts of ruckous, starting fights, then denial, but not interested in the well being of citizens or visitors...

Hmmm What a surprise, wonder why it's 100% predictable.

Imposter, You don't fool anyone.

In Skeet's case, these are personality traits that show the soft-focus of age and an overload of experience. Those who attack him for this are nothing short of cruel and emboldened by anonymity.
Let the old dog nap on the couch. Show him the respect and appreciation he has shown everyone around him for a lifetime. It won't cost anybody anything.

Hey, just like a party... fights and everything.. can't wait for the pictures of the real event... WOW!!

gnukid - 7-20-2010 at 10:08 AM

Everyone deserves compassion, love, caring, these are the greatest gifts from which joy is derived in giving, we all have the opportunity to grow, these two and their multiples have much to offer and to gain from Baja. The beautiful Peninsula has a grand effect of healing and teaching and equalizing all of those who have been stressed.

Though the grand master, Baja is tolerant of differences, she is intolerant of abusers, however derived. We are and will be intolerant of outbursts of programmed abuse and games whose fruitless end is now here.

May these new friends, or call them associates, brothers and sisters, in whatever incarnation, feel that they are welcome in this society and have much to gain by respecting others, giving to others, caring for others, respecting Baja and there is 100% understanding and compassion for whichever circumstances have led them to their current state and 100% forgiveness.

toneart - 7-20-2010 at 10:10 AM

Gnukid,
I don't get it. Why is MsTerious labeled an Imposter? She took offense at Skeet's offensive sexual remarks, but so would most women, and some men. Is there anything else? Maybe I missed it. Is she someone else that you know, but posing as the newbie, MsTerious?

DENNIS - 7-20-2010 at 10:43 AM

Those "offensive remarks" may have been just that, but they weren't so egregious as to cause ongoing revulsion. Someone is clutching at straws and feigning outrage since all other forms of gathering support have fallen through.

The mystery woman is manipulative, Tony, and this issue should be put to rest. You only serve to encourage it's misdirected life here.

Dennis-
Almost everyone here has a "misdirected life", and the BajaNomad is quite encouraging in enabling those lives.

I am just asking questions without judgment. Who is being manipulated? Who is the victim? Where is the harm? I still don't get it. I am not even able to arrive at a difference of opinion, or agreement with anything said here by her, you or Gnukid. The "imposter" label is also curious. How does that apply?

I am, however, fundamentally opposed to almost everything Skeet has said or stood for through the years. I sometimes play with it, and most often ignore him. I haven't berated him though. To me, he is comical, but I can see how he would offend women emotionally.

I am pretty sure I have a fishing day planned on the day of his party. Lets see....Well yes! Sure enough, my calendar has everyday blocked for fishing. :P

I looked up "meme" in the dictionary----------NOTHING-----------what's a "meme", Gnu.

(my kids and wife think I am a 'nice person'----------I am so hurt that you don't, and shocked to learn that I am 'programmed' and part of a cabal--------I did not realize that.)

Gnu-----seriously, I like you too, but I looked "meme" up again in my 8 inch thick WEBSTERS NEW INTERNATIONAL DICTIONARY-----nada------

-----and as an aside, I looked up "irregardless" also----------nada!!!

Perhaps you mean 'regardless'??? but I have no idea what a "meme" is, and that detracts from what you are trying to say here, I believe, as I doubt that all understand you.

There is a reason Skeet and others repeat the phrase The Brotherhood and also offend women. There is also a reason for his promotion of Sex as an agenda, to do so is the eigh
th level of Mason enlightenment. He said ahh forget it. It's sad.

It is particularly offensive if you mutually respect women and men and understand what he is saying and doing as he repeats the programmed messaging.

Gnukid-

First, I don't understand your last sentence.

I did read your previous post as well as this one. I have seen you espouse this theme (Masons) before. For sure they are not my kind of people. I am aware of who they are but have never paid much attention to the signs, programmed messaging and the brotherhood.

I am never manipulated beyond my boundaries. Having said that, as a Liberal, my boundaries are more expansive that most. That is not a political statement. It is just who I am. But I am Liberal, politically BECAUSE of who I am, my life's experience and my quest for the honest truth. So, I will watch for these clues with MsTerious, but for the present, I will give her a pass.

I have nothing at stake with MsTerious to lose or be fearful of. She just appeared recently and has no bearing on my life. She certainly is no threat to me. Maybe if I had some good Ganja I could get there. :o

Also, I think you are giving 'ol Skeet way too much intellectual and social credit. It is doubtful that he is a high level functionary in the Masons.:smug:
