We have completed over $15,000 dlls renovation and feel pretty good about the place. Good water, electric, bar & food and rooms. Still old time
Baja. Juanita is supervising the operation for the owner Esteban. Still not even 2 star but fun.
Lot of changes in the San Quintin valley. Colonet has a new motel etc south of town, Irene's Posado Don Diego is still a great place to go. Groupo Los
Pinos has renovated the old hotel La Pinta and also have the Old Mill bar & restaurant, due to open this week. Jim & Nancy still have the
great motel. Jardines de Baja still has excellent food and motel. Lots of fishing opportunities in that area.
And of course in El Rosario a fellow Nomad has his finest motel next to Mama E's.
Come on down and enjoy the area.tiotomasbcs - 7-23-2010 at 02:29 AM
Good info! Over the years many Baja travelers shared the word about the fun & hijinks at Cielito Lindo. If the weather is nice I always try to
stay another day to drive around. Suerte. Tiocapt. mike - 7-23-2010 at 04:03 AM

There use to be a motel, resturant and bar called the Old Pier a little south of the Old Mill on the water east side. I haven't seen the sign for it
in several years. Anyone know what happened to it?David K - 7-23-2010 at 06:48 AM
Muelle Viejo/ Old Pier Motel ... It reminding me of a location for an Alfred Hitchc-ck movie!BajaGringo - 7-23-2010 at 09:00 AM
The Old Mill Bar/Restaurant really is going through a very nice remodel/expansion. The last I heard it was supposed to be reopening before the end of
this month.
To be honest, it has been quite a while since we have stopped by Cielito Lindo. We will definitely make the trip around the bay to stop by and check
out what's new. Glad to hear of the renovations. We all need a little sprucing up as the years go by...
old pier

The family that owned old pier sold it to several Americans and opened El Faro restaurant in Papalote, a small town about 10k south of San Quintin.
The old pier is closed and rapidly deterioratingBajaTom - 7-23-2010 at 09:05 AM
But the El Faro restaurant is really nice! And really good food!BajaGringo - 7-23-2010 at 09:07 AM

I will take no offense since you have never sat at my bar.
But you know you are always welcome...BajaGeoff - 7-23-2010 at 05:00 PM
I ran into Keri and Porky Pig at Cielito Lindo a few weeks ago when we needed a place to stay in San Quintin. We ended up staying in the some of the
recently renovated rooms. They were spacious, clean and a great value at $20 per night!capt. mike - 7-24-2010 at 06:54 AM

Oops maybe I should have said that I've had so far. Would love to try one of yours.
