Got my new FM3 card a couple of weeks ago from the Loreto Immigration office. Roman helped me and he was very friendly and professional and had a
smile.
Now for the good news. What appeared to be his boss came in and she was a very young and very good looking Senorita. Dressed very professional in
her uniform and I mean good looking! I was hoping that she would throw me against the wall and pat me down and give me the riot act but that didn’t
happen.
Anyway, back to reality, the card is only good for the one year and then they will issue another card when mine expires. He mentioned that around
November they will start issuing new cards that can be read by a scanner at the airports and then we will not have to get a new card each year. I
won’t hold my breath. Amongst jumping through the normal hoops, I had to get photos, front and from the right side.BMG - 7-25-2010 at 11:44 AM

This may change with the next election. The new photo
will be from the left side. And then back to the right. And then back........DENNIS - 7-25-2010 at 11:49 AM

We have to admit, they are making changes for the better and moving right along with them.
Very unMexican, it seems. Are they all imposters? Are we being duped?
Oh well!!

We would like to apply for our FM3 and thought using the new online system was a great idea, but from my reading of the forms, this is only for
renewals?? or am i missing something?
is it just as easy to do it yourself in person in Loreto, as we will be returning there in october and how much does an initial fm3 cost and what
are the yearly renewal fees?
many thanks for any responsesbackninedan - 8-14-2010 at 01:05 PM
It's easy in Loreto and the renewal fee is approx. 1500 pesos.
