Dear Nomads,
In anticipation of a possible early retirement in Baja Norte, I have (finally) booked a 1-week trip there (from 8/19-24), to start investigating real
estate, and I have a couple of questions:
1) In San Quintin, I want a safe, clean, quiet and cheap room. Of these three options, which would be best: Maria Celeste, Villas de San Quintin,
or a SINGLE ROOM at Hotel Los Jardines? (NOTE: I hear that the single rooms at Jardines are dark, small and otherwise not very nice, as opposed to
the double rooms there.)
2) Before San Quintin, I'll be staying in a casita in Punta Banda. In addition to looking at real estate, I am tentatively planning to attend the
Chili Cookoff on the 21st. Are any Nomads going to be there, and might it be possible to meet up?
3) Though I won't have much free time, are there any "don't miss" things I should do or see in (or south of Ensenada), e.g., anything great to shop
for, or a restaurant I just should not miss?
Thanks in advance for any help you can render!
