For a change I headed over towards Mulége. But first I had to try something local because there was some bait working near the house. Picked up about 8 bay bass to 10" and some lizard fish and one big trigger. Then I motored toward Mulége.
got a bunch of these

and this nice trigger

Pretty little rooster Russ. Do the larger models cruise the shore in that area? Did you tease him with a top water? Looks like a chugger or popper. Those would be a gas on ultra-lite tackle. Does orange work well? I am in the process of stocking up for the move to La Paz. As stuff goes on sale that is on my list, I fill the new tackle boxes and bags. Trigger ceviche for tonight's appetizer?

bajabass, The orange is actually more pink but it is really old and I've caught a lot of dorado on it. Thought I'd work it today. It's nice to watch the splashes helps with boredom when nothing but lizard fish are taking the divers. I was heading out to where Bob & Susan caught dorado a while back. Just finished the ceviche and it's resting in the frig.
So now I'm off shore trolling in 140 feet of water and I catch another trigger fish. What the hell is it doing near the surface? Also caught this jack don't remember which flavor it is. Trolled for an hour and a half and did't come across any dodos or birds or much of anything. Now I know why the seiners aren't in.

Next tour will be back out to the islands. Those two nice triggers save the day.
