we will be staying in ensenada end of oct. first part of nov. we are renting a house just south of town in a place called rancho todos santos. we can find lots of info. online about hotels, bars, and restaurants. can't seem to find out much about supermarkets, local transportation, etc. we know about walmart and the other big stores further south of town, but more interested in the neighborhood where we will be staying. all comments welcome. we have lived in puerto vallarta for 3 years, but ensenada is a total unknown. thanks.

There's a Soriana's super market at the end of the street on Reforma. Bus stops too.
I had a place in RTS for eight years.

ANOTHER QUESTION. HOW LONG, OR IS IT POSSIBLE TO WALK TO THE MALECON FROM CASE COUNTRY/RTS. HERE IN THE STATES WE WALK 1 TO 2 MILES A DAY. THANKS

DENNIS - 8-25-2010 at 10:06 AM

Sure. It's a nice walk. Just walk out the gate, turn towards the water, down the short hill to the road, turn north and start walking. If you went all the way to the end, where the fish market is, [ a must see] and back, it might be around three miles [+ -], but you won't have to worry about parking and there's a lot to see.

How come you don't like Casa Country Dennis? I pulled a few hotties out of there several years ago. Casita De Palo as well.

Ohhh.....yeah, Casita de Palo was one of the expat rounders watering holes. Lots of fun..back then.

Casa Country?? I just don't get along with the owner. Never will.

By the way, BB....Did you know the owners of the Casita also own El Palomar in Sto. Tomas? Restaurant, gas station, campground with pools across the street...all of it.
Nice folks.

No, but I will have to stop by. The people that run Casita were always very nice to me. One of the rounder female bartenders took more than a little liking to me, so, I have not been there for 4 or 5 years!
