BajaNomad

New Mexico Website

beddows - 8-17-2010 at 08:20 AM

I haven`t posted on this forum since I went to Baja in 2004. I have since been traveling on the mainland. I have started a forum for RVìng in Mexico. I have asked the admins here for permission to introduce it. Its http://www.mexicorvforums.com . I am not trying to compete with this one which is Baja specific, in fact I have a prominent link to it on my main page.

My main purpose is to try & offset some of the negative stuff seen on some other forums & try to help out the RV park owners & the RV industry in general down there. Many park owners are very concerned about the effect of the publicity on their operations this coming season

I have also produced a GPS POI file containing about 450 Campgrounds in Mexico, including Baja. I am waiting for the OK from a couple of major sources of information, not the least of which is Mike & Teri Church, before making it available. Once that is done, it will be available on that site and I will post here to make people aware of it..

This site is Baja oriented....not New Mexico.

beddows - 9-15-2010 at 04:36 PM

David K - 9-15-2010 at 06:02 PM

Saw 'New Mexico' and thought of the state... until I read the first post.

Maybe edit the title to read: 'A new Mexico website' or just 'Mexico Website'... it is new to us, afterall. ??

bajamigo - 9-15-2010 at 06:16 PM

Nice website. Couldn't find any info about Albuquerque, though.

DENNIS - 9-15-2010 at 06:20 PM

Taos isn't in Mexico. Pretty little town tho.

I really like Angel Fire across the hill.

bajamigo - 9-15-2010 at 06:39 PM

Beddows sounds like a guy/woman with a sense of humor.

David K - 9-15-2010 at 06:41 PM

Why we are helping him... and poking him a bit, in fun.

He posted this: 'New Mexico Website'

and it would better if it was this: 'Mexico Website'

or 'Mexico Website that is NEW!'

beddows - 9-15-2010 at 06:56 PM

Can I help it if you Yanks can't think up any original names for states? I mean New Mexico, New Hampshire, New York, New jersey. No imagination? LOL.

bajamigo - 9-15-2010 at 07:00 PM

And when I find out where he lives, I'll send him a copy of "Eats, Shoots & Leaves."

[The title of the book is an amphibology—a verbal fallacy arising from an ambiguous grammatical construction—and derived from a joke on bad punctuation:

A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and proceeds to fire it at the other patrons.
'Why?' asks the confused, surviving waiter amidst the carnage, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

'Well, I'm a panda,' he says, at the door. 'Look it up.'

The waiter turns to the relevant entry in the manual and, sure enough, finds an explanation. 'Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.']

beddows - 9-16-2010 at 06:52 AM

Hey did I say we Canadians are any better? After all our head of state is the Queen of Britain, the matriarch of the world most dysfunctional family. How much more tied to the mother countries apron strings can you be?

windgrrl - 9-16-2010 at 07:27 AM

Time for a joke:

A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and proceeds to fire it at the other patrons.
'Why?' asks the confused, surviving waiter amidst the carnage, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

Nice website beddows - welcome to the zoo.

David K - 9-16-2010 at 08:00 AM

 Bad! ;D

Thanks

windgrrl - 9-16-2010 at 08:18 AM

Whoops - missed previous post with my same jokie.

Here's another old chestnut:

A woman, without her man, is nothing.

A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Cheers,
w
