Launched at 5:30 this morning, hoped to boat something before the wind blew us back in. Did I mention the afternoon whitecaps- brisk easterlies- here
in Mulege. Makes if bearable up here at Loma Azul, but I don't like a lumpy boat ride.
Soaked some cut bait near tres palmas, but that's boring unless the pargo are cooperating, which they weren't. Dragged some feathers along the 100
line north, hooked up & lost a high flyer. I love dorado. Landed a couple of ?bonito? (all those tuna-ish fish look the same to me), they are
fun to catch.
By 9: we landed our 4 dorado- 2 small, 2 medium. Back in by noon to sit in front of the fan & pick up my trashy novel. Pancho's for dinner soon.
Tough life, but someone's got to do it.

Way to go! Where's " Dragged some feathers along the 100 line north"? Out by the lighthouse or out ine the bay towards Santa Inez?

Is this a story like Osprey's "Radio Fishing?"
Where?

Basically 3? miles east of Punta Conception towards Punta Chivato. The fish may have been singletons, didn't see any following when we were landing
the fish, and I was looking. Caught one on a 8" popper, the remainder on both green/blue & dorado color feathers. Lotsa needles on the north end
of our run, but it was getting hot anyway, so headed in.

Thank you! I tried it out there "?" on a Bob & Susan report that they too caught fish in that area. Maybe I'll see ya out there. As soon as I
finish the new storm shutters.

The guys north of Santa Rosalia got into a weed line around Punta Prieta and really got into the Dorado today. The temp break off of Punta Chivato
should have been good according to Terrafin but sounds like it never really came on well. The wind never did show up today like it has in the last
few days and Bouyweather predicts good through the end of the week. We did find Yellowtail that bit like it was November and did very well on them on
the north side of San Marcos Island.
Dorado no show

That doesn't rhyme, but I hate the term that does. One bonita, otherwise a nice boat ride. Very little breeze today- I can see why the locals only
come out after dark.
Will try casting from the rocks in the morning: maybe a cabrilla will make my day.
Scotty's making a killer pizza now. Mama does the dough. Just right- thin and crisp with enough behind it to not be brittle. (wrong thread, I know),
but if you have a hanker for a pizza, El Candil will do you right. Only one kind for now- pepperoni & lotsa cheese. Try it.

Sounds like you should have released everyone of them... So you killed and threw way the bonito and killed the small dorado so you could put in the
freezer? Wrong.
