Ha! that's a great consideration - they won't. But almost everyone who goes to Puerto Nuevo is a visitor with US dollars. There used to be several
little parking lots with flat-fee parking - I'm sure a lucrative business for them. So some real estate deals took place and the parking meters are
going in so the city govt. gets all the benefit from parking?? Puerto Nuevo used to be a nice unique place to go - the lobster was cheap, the
ambiance of the ocean close by, the mariachis, dirt roads - like a found treasure. Parking meters are so offensively norte americano. Instead, there
should be one or two staffed, guarded parking lots, and no cars allowed in the village, so as to preserve the uniqueness of this place.
