Think it will head out to sea? Hope so---a little rain would be nice, but don't need any big storm.

No worry Diane no bad hurricanes this year the water is to cold and the days are getting shorter so won't have a chance to warm up to the high temps
required for a hurricane.

Man, I hope You are right Comitan. It sure sounds good, but I think I'll wait for Nov. to confirm your theory.
DianaT - 8-23-2010 at 02:25 PM
Comitan, I also hope you are correct---but I do hope we get some rain.

Just don't shake the limb!

Recall that Jimena made landfall on Baja September 3.

I do hope for the best. Just wanted to note a fact. The NWS doesn't close their official hurricane season until 11/30. must be for a reason. And I do
agree that so far, it has been looking good this season. I've got my own selfish interest in that my plans are to spend a couple of weeks in Baja,
heading as far as Cabo, starting 10/1.

Its not about time, its about circumstance.

FRANK IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN
MOVING OVER SUB-26C SSTS...WHICH SHOULD INITIATE A GRADUAL
WEAKENING TREND.
SSTS= Satelitte sea temps.
This is why not to worry.

This except from NOOA
