Is there parking? Can it accommodate a 19' boat / trailer? Is it a short term rental?

Do some looking around! I ,or my wife, found a beautiful home, 2br, 2ba, a/c, pool, great view for the same price in El Centenario. Room for both my boats also!! She's been there 3 months, and I have been stuck here. I have not even spent a night there yet, but she loves it!!

Thanks. Any web sites or contact info you could provide would be helpful. I was searching for rentals and just came up with lot / house sales.

The price for short term is higher, there is parking for 2 cars, but my Ford F150 crew just makes it, so I doubt if a 19 ft boat and trailer could.
Centenario would be cheaper as it is farther out and you need to drive for any supplies etc.

bajajurel, this is the only rental site I know of for the La Paz area.....some R/E sites do have rental sections, but not all.

The R/E market is slow, so if you find a place for sale that you like, contact the realtor & have them ASK the owner if they'd consider short-term rental....nothing ventured, nothing gained. Some may even be set up with Hacienda to rent legally!

Short term rentals would generally cost much more, becuase short erm renters tend to require much more work but there are many options available when you arrive. I know of a place close to the public launch in La Paz and they usually charge $2500-3000 pesos a month for a single room with kitchenette and bath, separate entrance and a bit more to store your boat, like 200 pesos a month, its on the corner of Rangel and Sonora, you'll see a sign with rooms for rent. Ask for Poncho or his daughter Edith has a hair/nail salon out front.

Many more places are available in local papers for 3000-4000 month, but if you want a real place like a house that has doors and windows and is nice short term you will need to pay upwards of 5000 a month minimum.

the average places in La Paz don't have things like running hot water and working doors and windows so if you want that you will have to consider that in advance, some places are noisy and have other problems like rats, best to arrive and look around and be clear (to yourself) about what you want and how long you will be there and get a place that serves your needs.

Make a list of your requirements and your potential costs and budget.
