Russ - 9-7-2010 at 06:18 AM

I've been watching the temperature since 'o' dark 30 and it hasn't moved.
80º ~ 66%hum ~ wind calm and seas flat. Just horrible!

Glad to hear the heat is gone..at least for a while. I don't miss those HOT, MOIST days in the Bay.

It's great weather Up North, too, Russ.

Fall is in the air! A fine time to be alive and in the field!

wessongroup - 9-7-2010 at 06:41 AM

A really different look this morning Russ ... but, nice ... thanks for the show... glad you guys are getting a bit of a break from that normal weather...

Meany - 9-7-2010 at 06:47 AM

Yeah, as long as it's not the Potter's Field that you're in, Pompano!:lol::lol::lol:

Thank goodness, after a week at Asuncion, it was a little shocking to get back to San Bruno. It was a little like having air conditioning on for a few days and the electricity went off and you get thrown in the oven. On Sunday morning when I left it was 72 degrees at 10:30 in the morning and it was only around 99 when I got back to this side with high humidity. Oh well, I still love it here.

From all the reports I've had from friends and family "Up North" the So. Cal coast only had a few days of summer this year. And from the pics of Asuncion they hadn't gone to T-shirts in the mornings until recently. At least the locals. Those Canadians have no sense of What real non-weather is:o

shari - 9-7-2010 at 07:03 AM

super chilly here this morning... probably not even 70 degrees....brrrr

Hey russ...crop that pretty dawn so we can get a better look at that sponge bob towering cloud in the back....looks real interesting.

the boys just left for San Roque Island for a repeat performance of yesterdays excellent fishing adventure...FINALLY some nice yellowtail decided to go for an exrap...the bite is ON!!!

Legs, legs, legs...Potter's Field?

...I am indignant, not indigent..and am not DEAD yet! And when I am my family plot awaits me Up North.

Russ and other weather hounds...We recently did a long motorhome trip up the entire West Coast from San Diego to Victoria, BC. The weather was gorgeous for us, with many temps in the 80's. The inland areas around Salinas Valley were downright HOT.

We did have some high winds for about 1 week from San Francisco to mid-Oregon Coast around Coos Bay/Newport. From there to the north it was higher than normal temps. Many times we were using the AC in the coach.

Going east from the Washington Olympic Peninsula we encountered higher than normal temps again..with some days into the 90's. Eastern Washington was oppressive with the heat..more AC! Continued hot through Idaho and even into Glacier Park in NW Montana. Eastern Montana was 80's for lows and almost 100 for highs.

North Dakota..was closed.

Minnesota was ...mosquitos fanned the air to keep things a little cooler.

Wisconsin was...nice, but a little cheesy.

Illinois (Chicago) was..smog, wind, weird accents, and high temps to the 90's.

Note: At this specific moment I am having some bashers & beer at a rest stop near Eau Claire, Wisconsin ..running the return trip from Chicago to Up North.

It is VERY WINDY...almost dangerous to drive this high-sided motorhome down the freeway. Temperature is a coolish, but pleasant, 55F.

Sitting here reading about your weather report from Pta. Chivato makes me miss Coyote Bay a great deal. Maybe a short fishing trip back home is in order? With a check-in stop at Asuncion.

DENNIS - 9-7-2010 at 08:36 AM

It is just plain cold and breezy here today. Figuring a wind chill factor in Baja In September is ridiculous.

irenemm - 9-7-2010 at 08:42 AM

it is only about 64 here right now. yesterday it took until about noon time to get any sun. it only got to about maybe 70 yesterday.this has been the coldest summer i can remember. we still have june gloom and it is september. have had only about 6 days all summer with heat.
kinka like it.

Shell~Gal - 9-7-2010 at 08:43 AM

Good morning, Hey those fluffy, pretty white clouds remind me of "snow clouds" and the still glistening water looks as though it's frozen, however I don't have my reading glasses on. It is absolutely gorgeous regardless of how our mind perceives it. I think I have a old pair of "ice skates" it's almost that time here in Canada's north country. Brrrrrrrrr & Brrrrrrrr

DENNIS - 9-7-2010 at 08:53 AM

Well....it's 62 degrees here now and that's frigid. I think the world's coming to an end.

REPENT.....

bajajudy - 9-7-2010 at 09:09 AM

83 and overcast here right now...10:00am
The water here is still very cool....amazing!

shari - 9-7-2010 at 09:11 AM

OK...I've done my morning REPENTIONS
It's still chilly willy here this morning...marine layer....but I dont give a pinch of coon crap cause Juan just called and they got some BIG yellowtail in the boat...4 so far and they are real happy campers....finally!!!

thanks for the close up on sponge bob with a devils tail...freaky

Russ - 9-7-2010 at 09:38 AM

92º ~ 58% ~ NE breeze @ 4 to 7mph ~ seas almost rippled.

Russ - 9-7-2010 at 09:49 AM

Too lazy. I did retie all my lures and clean the boat & organize the tackle. Even oiled the anchor. I'm bored but lazy seems to win out over a little sweat. Planning lunch for tomorrows 3 hour tour. This evening (in the shade) I'll hook her up to Bubba and point her down hill. Yesterday I had a report of roosters & dorado slashing through bait around the hotel but I didn't see any action off Shell Beach where I am.

Welcome to Baja Nomads, Shell-Gal. (I can't make that squiggly line thingy like you can..?)

Funny, I thought those clouds looked like snow clouds, too. Guess that means something, but can't for the life of me think of what it is?? Ice skates, eh? I have a pair hanging in my Baja game room. Just to remind me of Up North.

Canada's north county, too? Wow..what a coincidence, eh? eh?

I know where lots of shells are in Baja. And DK has never been there!!

I often thought they might work well on the large sand dunes up by La Fonda. Do they have any of those down there?

Not the crampons....the snow board.

fishabuctor....

...someone 'purloined' my push-type lawn mower from my front yard..which is sand.

Another thing I now remember missing is a tombstone that read:

"I told you I was sick"

Funny the things that come back to you...Is this some kind of sign?

Your life is supposed to pass in front of your eyes while you're drowning, Roger. A lot of dead people have said this to be a fact.

I arrived in La Mision at 3am Saturday morning, after getting sent back at the border for too many DVDs. Anyway, heavy fog and clouds all weekend! Glorious after 90-95 degree days last week in Socal. It may have hit 72 as a high for the three days. Sleep, yard work, even house cleaning is pleasant in that weather! Dorado on the beach Russ? I'd deal with the heat for that!!! Come on shop, SELL!!!

for us "simpletons" from warmer states...

Not sold in Southern California
