Skeet/Loreto, Good idea!;D

DianaT - 9-9-2010 at 04:21 PM

Skeet, to cover all of Baja Sur would be a monster endeavor. It has taken a huge amount of time to get just as far as we have on the community website for Bahia Asuncion.

It continues to be a lot of fun and will continue to be a lot of fun, mainly because of all of the local people involved with building the website---- keeping it real personal.

Unless it was really superficial, it would take years to create a personal website for all of Baja Sur ---- maybe it would be better if it is one community at a time and all linked together.

If would also be difficult to keep all of the community sites just that, not commercial sites for any one business, but it could be done.

Just my two cents. And the more I think about it, it would be great to have a network of individual community sites----thanks for starting the thought process and do check out the progress we are making on our community website. I think it maybe is what you are thinking about for all of Baja California Sur. http://www.bahiaasuncion.ORG

Or maybe I read what you want incorrectly, are you looking for just a forum?

How are you going to do all this from Texas and how much Spanish do you know?
Who's gonna be the judge of character for you exclusive site?
How "involved" with the people do we have to get? Will two hours in a hoar-house be enough?
Are we allowed to get nekid?
Can we consider using lots of dope? The more we use, the more we'll act like you....dope of the year.

www.antibullpuckey.com! I'm having a hard time following what this new website would do that Nomads doesn't. Is it to exclude those excitable Northerners? If so, I'm all in! Just a bunch of nekid pot drinking degenerates up there. Where's my meds?

bajalera - 9-9-2010 at 05:39 PM

Then you'll have to get away from me, too, Skeeter Old Friend. To me the present system works just fine.

But....but....but...we have DK to take care of these details. Don't you like DK? DK likes you.

maspacifico - 9-9-2010 at 05:42 PM

I know that trying to be serious with this is a mistake...but.... Nomads is a great source of information on almost everything pertaining to Baja California. North and South. Anyone can get what they need to know from this site. If they want to get into peeing matches they can do that too. No need that I can see for another site. Unless you are off your meds! Again!!!

maspacifico - 9-9-2010 at 05:44 PM

Jeez.....can I say urinating? whizzing? Didn't know peeing was banned.

BAJA NOMAD IS A GOOD THING

BajaBlanca - 9-9-2010 at 06:01 PM

I have started putting together a site similar to asuncion's for la bocana and it is a HUGE endeavor. truth be told, I am lucky in that I always had PLANNED for it and was collecting photos of the restaurants, stores etc., so I am actually way ahead of the game

that being said

I think

baja nomads is the perfect place for all to ask an open-ended question like where is such and such or what can you tell me about copper canyon and get a wealth of information. and that information comes from so many in so many different places and with so many different experiences that it makes it more informative IMHO.

and that being said - once I am done with la bocana's site - should anyone want a similar site for their area, all they have to do is ask and send me the photos. I can put it together pretty easily.

edited to correct spelling mistakes.

Ah, much appreciated. Do you happen to know what "diaperhead" means? I seem to have misplaced my Skeeter-to-English dictionary today. I gotta figure out whether I should (a) be insulted, (b) post some snarky comment designed to push him further over the edge, or (c) just drink some more pot and laugh myself silly over this thread. Skeet, as a FreeMasons Baja forum front you should definitely pursue eugenics to continue your blood lines and continue to divide, distract and mislead the others in order to exploit them as your slaves, right. One question, cause this sun worship goat symbology crap is confusing, how often do you actually eat the flesh and blood of sacrifices?

Surely you must be kidding~

Now the first thing to do is ask yourself "Where is a Diaper used?"
Next ask yourself "What does a Diaper do?"

Just follow that line of thought and it should come to you sooner or Later.

If not let me know and I will get into detail.

Well now, I admit to being a bit of a simpleton (aside from spelling, where I have only made one now very famous error that will haunt me forever). My problem was that the term diaperhead could be construed by some as a racist epithet, referring to persons of middle eastern descent. I was concerned that a man of your superior character might be lowering your high standards by stooping to the use of such crass, mean-spirited and xenophobic terminology. Now that you've clarified that you only meant to call us all s#!theads, I'm satisfied that you are still entitled to hold the moral high ground, if only to build a latrine on it.

Anyway, if we're serious about going the route of having only genetically engineered Skeets post to this hypothetical website, we'll definitely need a catchier name for the site than BajaSur.com. Here are a few, but my fellow diaperheads should feel free to add their own suggestions:

CactusClones.com
TestTubeBaja.com
SameOldSur.com

and (drum roll please)

SkeetersBreeders.com

Excuse me, but I need to step out and change my diaper now.

bajalera - 9-10-2010 at 02:28 PM

Well, I intend to drink booze and smoke pot, but have decided I'm not gonna git nekkid and you can all be glad of that.

vgabndo - 9-10-2010 at 02:29 PM

Skeet. Clearly your have no idea what you are doing when you make some of your incredibly insensitive slurs. Anyone who does any reading will know that "diaperhead" is just the racist Christian Dominionist extension of "raghead" referring to people whose non-Christian cultures include wearing turbans or other scarves and wraps around the head. The more vile racists use diaper head for just the reason you cite. It further extends the insult to project the slur that these types of headgear are filled with baby crap.

You sir are full of baby crap.

And on the subject of knowing something about the language, geography, details of BCS, we will have to exclude you. After all the years you claim to have lived 9.5 miles away from Isla San Ildefonso, one would think that you would know its name. If a newby got on the site and asked where to find "Islan of Del Elfonso" they would have to be told it didn't exist. (except in what is left of your arrogant mind)

OOPS, MY BAD. I just found it in the Guff of Kaffhilfornica almost exactly between Mulehinge and Laratti. :no:

DanO - 9-10-2010 at 02:51 PM

It just occurred to me that in the childrens' book "Captain Underpants and the Perilous Plot of Professor Poopypants," the evil professor has a system for selecting and imposing new names on people which could, in theory, result in the change of one's last name to "diaperhead." For that to occur, the second and fourth letters in your last name would have to be the letter "a". Here's how it works:

Use the third letter of your first name to determine your NEW first name:

a = stinky
b = lumpy
c = buttercup
d = gidget
e = crusty
f = greasy
g = fluffy
h = cheeseball
i = chim-chim
j = poopsie
k = flunky
l = booger
m = pinky
n = zippy
o = goober
p = doofus
q = slimy
r = loopy
s = snotty
t = falafel
u = dorkey
v = squeezit
w = oprah
x = skipper
y = dinky
z = zsa-zsa

Use the second letter of your last name to determine the first half of
your NEW last name:

a = diaper
b = toilet
c = giggle
d = bubble
e = girdle
f = barf
g = lizard
h = waffle
i = cootie
j = monkey
k = potty
l = liver
m = banana
n = rhino
o = burger
p = hamster
q = toad
r = gizzard
s = pizza
t = gerbil
u = chicken
v = pickle
w = chuckle
x = tofu
y = gorilla
z = stinker

Use the fourth letter of your last name to determine the second half of your NEW last name:

a = head
b = mouth
c = face
d = nose
e = tush
f = breath
g = pants
h = shorts
i = lips
j = honker
k = butt
l = brain
m = tushie
n = chunks
o = hiney
p = buscuits
q = toes
r = buns
s = fanny
t = sniffer
u = sprinkles
v = kisser
w = squirt
x = humperdinck
y = brains
z = juice

So, for a hypothetical example, let's say Skeet's last name is Salazar (or Sakamoto or Sabatini or Samardjian or, well, you get the drift). Based on the system above, his new name would be Crusty Diaperhead.

For giggles, the main 4 players in the last presidential elections would now be known as President Loopy Toiletbanana, Vice President Snotty Cootietush, Senator Cheeseball Gigglehead, and former Governor Loopy Diaperlips (I love that last one). Taking it just a tad further (because I can), Toiletbanana's predecessor would be former President Goober Chickenshorts, and the guy he defeated to get into office would be former Vice President Lumpy Burgertush.

Feel free to use this system to your heart's content. Also, please advise if your new name comes out as Stinky Picklekisser. We'll need to keep an eye on you.

Well, heck, I'll take a shot at it. Is it:

1. A guy who hammers metal shoes onto chickens' feet?
2. A nickname for a guy named Smith who always runs away?
3. A financial blogger who is convinced we are on the verge of another Great Depression? http://chickensmith.wordpress.com/
4. A new KFC high end spin-off chicken restaurant that is doomed to fail?
5. This weirdo? http://www.facebook.com/pages/Chicken-Smith/138764579489444

If I'm right, you have to tell us what your new name is under the Poopypants System. Deal?

gnukid - 9-10-2010 at 03:46 PM

Just to belabor the point, notice how the poster Skeet makes negative comments then blames others for negative comments, insults people, then blames others for insulting, he makes salacious comments about women and then claims others do. This is a style which categorically the Freemason method, no matter he wins when people acknowledge the comments or disagree because within the dialect the other poster becomes distracted from the their own goals, their own values and they become divided in their sympathies and the conversation is framed by the Freemason dialectic which seeks to manipulate and destroy the collective power of diverse communities, like ours.

Now, as reasonable community members whoever we might be, we should ask ourselves what are constructive replies to Skeet or the Freemason dialect? Is there any reply that would benefit a truly good person in response, unlikely. Theirs is well practiced and complex strategy. Noticeably the posts come in waves, with support from equally trained members of the brotherhood as evidenced here as it is required by their affiliation.

So, let us bid adieu to disruptive characters and perhaps ignore them though its true it's hard to, yet participating can be so wasteful.

Your wish is my command (just had more coffee, er, I mean, DOPE!). I've gathered the Skeeterisms from this thread (that I could find among the vast trove of comedy gold) and have taken the liberty of adding my own translations. Enjoy:

Parrilell 28 -- Not that I have any personal knowledge, but doesn't this sound like the name of a French strip club? I wonder what Skeeter's been up to . . . .

Kyackers -- People on your boat who never shut up.

Adventuers -- People who like their vacations tough and their beef jerky even tougher.

Commercial Sullort -- I have to admit, this one has me stumped. I googled "sullort" but all I got was Skeet's post and a bunch of typos. Anyone want to take a run at this one?

FolkswhohaveadegreeofCommonSense -- This means individuals interested in Adventure etc. not Bull Puckey and Dope and Politics (in that order). Duh! Haven't you been paying attention?

Bull Pukey -- According to Dennis, this comes out of the front of the bull, not the back like Bull Puckey.

DEgenerate -- A verb meaning to take away one's generator.

Nekid/Nekkid -- Naked, I think. Could also be a spanish name for baby formula.

Wevsites -- Discussion forums in an alternative internet universe where the moderators have the supernatural ability to know sight unseen whether posters are nekid and/or pot drinkers, and to consequently prevent said nekid pot drinkers from posting so as to maintain the purity of the forums' gene pools. Or something.

Woners -- Scary people who wear black trenchcoats, wone wevsites and hunt wabbits.

Diaperheads -- I think we've beaten this one pretty much to death, but it was damn good while it lasted, wasn't it?

True Lover of Freedom -- Skeet. Oh, and Chuck Norris.

Bad-<outhing -- Not sure, but it seems dirty.

Breeding Factory -- The first phase in the creation of a wevsite that will dominate the world because it is run and frequented only by the clones of True Lovers of Freedom that are created at the Breeding Factory, Inc.

Physico -- Describes people who like to go to the doctor every few years to bend over and cough and take a leak in a cup.

Chicken Smith -- Covered above, but no word from Skeet yet on whether I got it right.

Penlicans -- I think this is a kind of hardtack made by the indians from nuts, berries, and Pelican poop, but I could be wrong. I'll try googling a recipe.

Children,s Posts -- Anything posted by me, apparently.

Stay tuned.

Lee - 9-11-2010 at 08:02 AM

Skeet started this thread with a great idea. The BCS crowd is probably a more aware group of people than the BCN crowd. I love Ensenada and even El Rosario -- but there is nothing up North that comes close to Cabo, Todos, La Paz, and even GN. Mulege? Beats every town up North. Skeet is on to something -- and the rabblerousers on this forum have taken his GREAT idea and high jacked this thread into a Let's Beat Skeet and His Ideas Up free-for-all. This stuff comes across as fun and playful pokes but sometimes, it's insensitive and down right mean spirited.

I don't support some of the over-the-top comments Skeet throws out.

And there's nothing wrong with tootin' your own horn, as Skeet tends to do every now and then. Credit where credit is due, I say.

Let's not discredit the message because of the appearance of the messenger. A BCS Forum just makes good sense. BN has spawned mutants like Maggie (respectfully), Fulano, Joe, and others who I think are true BCN'ers.

Clearly, Skeet is a BCS'er and proud of it. I can't think of a better town than Loreto to be associated with. Unless it's Todos, Pescadero, Mulege, Cabo and San Jose del Cabo. To each their own.

Glad we're not all comparing Resumes here. Skeet would be among some others at the top of the Heap.

Iflyfish - 9-11-2010 at 08:12 AM

Commercial Sullort

One who sells sullort rather than give it to their friends like any good left wing commie, pinko, liberal, berkeley type, mush for brains, pothead would do. A person who is paid to sort this sort of thing out.

Iflyfishinaweofdano'sverbaltourdeforce

Skeet/Loreto - 9-11-2010 at 08:25 AM

thank You Lee for your Post.

I think that there are some real differences in the People who come to Baja Sur for the Adventures as opposed to those who live in the North closer to the Cities., I do give credit to those in the Mountains as most seem to be like the Good Folks of the South.
If and When we do get a Baja Sur Website we cou;ld all work to keep it about Baja Sur and not Personalities of the Poster.
Wish Doug would come up with a Complete Seperate Site and Discussion Board.

I will keep trying.

gnukid - 9-11-2010 at 11:58 AM

Forums come in a few flavors, most are open source applications where development is shared. The main applications are Phpbb and phpNuke or variations of these, another examples includes SMF simple machines forum. Open source development allows many people to work to stop hackers who might compromise the forum. Other methods include subscription based software that commercial developers work for you to maintain for a price.

Anyone can install these applications fairly simply and affordably, for example one could go to http://godaddy.com setup an economical account for about $5/month or even for free and go to the applications sections and install PHPBB or SMF for free, you can easily customize the forums, sub forums and the look and feel of the forum with a simple administration interface that anyone can use.

The problems come later on, as maintenance is required, or data backup and restore, dealing with increased traffic and of course trolls and hackers.

If skeet is interested he could ask his niece to help or use the extended FreeMason network of system administrators.

We, who grunge our way through life in the northern Baja wastelands, are closer to God than our friends and neighbors to the south. Anybody who has studied geography knows that.
I mean, all you have to do, Skeet, is observe a half full/empty bottle of beer. The top half is filled with the pure air of heaven while the bottom half is filled with pukey pollutants.

By the way...we're closer to Santa as well, but we'll save that one till December.

BajaBlanca - 9-11-2010 at 04:18 PM

nah nah nah, God is Brazilian (anyone Brazilian knows that) so ... whoever lives closest to La Bocana (BCS) is closest to God, be it Baja Sur or Baja Norte.

and furthermore, we Brazilians think our country is fantastic, wonderful, beautiful and downright amazing. So, waaaaaaay back in the day, someone asked God - whilst he was creating the world - why he made Brazil so gorgeous ?????????????

I know it is gorgeous, he answered, one of the most gorgeous places on Earth BUT wait til you see the people I am going to populate it with. :o

We still say God is Brazilian, though. But Dennis is definitely closer to Santa.

Still and all, I am not sure why we would want to limit the input to anyone Baja Sur only ???????? It is like drinking only French wine or eating only Argentinian beef or drinking only German beer. Maybe someone lives NOB or in BN but still loves Baja Sur and is knowledgeable enough to make a difference in information posted ????? Isn't a difference/variety of opinion the spice of life ? Please don't attack, I am thin skinned and am simply voicing an opinion ..... and trying to understand the purpose. I just haven't been convinced it is a good idea, yet.

DENNIS - 9-11-2010 at 04:42 PM

You'll see the light when someone turns it on, Blanca.
You're doing just fine.

Ken Bondy - 9-12-2010 at 08:26 AM

This thread reminds me of something my daughter Coleen wrote describing a wonderful Baja trip in 2001. Excerpts from her log follow. These are her opinions only, but I thought they were relevant to this thread. At least how this thread started:

"We left Meling Ranch early on Thursday morning, and headed for Rosarito. It was hard for me to leave Meling, because it was essentially the end of our adventure. Maybe it's because I don't expect the magic of Baja to happen near the border that it doesn't happen. Or maybe it's because it is really nothing like the further reaches of Baja, and the type of people it attracts -- both gringos and Mexicans -- are different. But I was right, anyway. Nothing magic happened once we left Meling and the sparsely populated parts of Baja.....

.....Being here [Rosarito Beach] reminds me of being in Vegas. I can find things to enjoy, like the spa, and maybe do some shopping (although I would much rather shop here than in Vegas). I did buy some beautiful Mexican blankets. But my heart's not in it. Tourists are constantly accosted on the street here by kids and adults selling chiclets and all kinds of junk. It makes you feel like a target instead of a person. That just doesn't happen anywhere else in Baja except Cabo San Lucas, which is why I would never go there for a vacation. Except for Tijuana, La Paz is the biggest city in Baja, and I have never felt like a big American target there. People treat you like another human being, with respect and dignity. The same way I treat them. I know a lot of Americans come here and act like jerks--that a lot of Americans come to places like this just so they can act like jerks. So there is a reason why we are treated this way here. But I really only like going to places where those kinds of Americans don't go, so I am not lumped in with them.....

.....I'm writing this from my hotel room [Rosarito Beach Hotel], on the last night of our vacation. I've got so many great memories swimming through my head. On balance, it's been nice to decompress here a bit before going back to my "real life." But this place is only a resting spot for me, not somewhere I will dream about, or somewhere that will get under my skin and make me itch to return. This place actually makes me want to turn tail and get as far south as I can, short of Cabo, of course. Because it will only go downhill from here. San Francisco is about as civilized and techologized as you can get, and that's far, far too civilized for me, thank you very much.

I'll take a palapa on the beach without running water, electricity, cell phones, regular phones, palm pilots, the Internet, or annoying sales people any day. But I might just bring my laptop so I can write about the color of the sunrise on the Sea of Cortez, and photograph it with my digital camera. And I might just post all that rhapsodizing on my website later so you all can read about it. And of course I'll check my email to see if you have written me yet. :)"

Skeet referring to this site:

"It is getting to where it is controlled by a Bunch of Norte DOPERS."

It seems, Skeet, that the above is your main reason for wanting to start your own BCS discussion board. I encourage you to do so. If you do, be aware that it is likely to be populated by a bunch of dopers because ALCOHOL is dope. Just because it is the kind of dope of which you approve does not make it any less "dope" than any other mind altering chemical depressant.

It has been my observation that people on this board, when discussing dope in its various forms, have been referring to a preference for alcohol or cannibis. I don't remember a single instance of someone defending the use of methamphetemins, cocaine, heroin, or any other substance which might be described as hard dope. (narcotics)

I invite you to read through the voluminous Nomads threads which have compared the social costs of alcohol and cannibis in our culture. You are a member of a small minority who continue to try to force your narrow-minded views on everyone else. It makes it impossible to resist calling you out as a besotted hoarmonger; the latter which you have admitted, and the former which is often painfully obvious.
Throwing in being an evangelist and a member of a dark secret society further refines your minority status.

Please don't blame us if YOU don't fit-in.

In the United States of America the Largest number of Criminals in Prisons are from DOPE related Crimes.

Everyday many Men. Women, and Chidren are being killed by DOPERS Driving Cars.

Our Hospitals are crowded each night and Day by DOPE related Injuries!
