Greetings fellow Nomads. I've been planning a trip to BOLA at the end of this month (we'll be in town Sept 25-30). We plan on doing some kayak
fishing, hiring a panga for some fishing, snorkeling and sight seeing and camping at Archelon. If it's too hot, does anyone have alternatives on the
Pacific side that will satisfy my BOLA cravings? I'm towing a small pop up so off road/washboard is not much of an option. I'm also bring two 14' sit
on top kayaks.k-rico - 9-13-2010 at 04:22 PM
Typically, end of Sept sees a reduction in the humidity and the heat. We always go in early October as I feel it's the best month of the year in the
bay. This has been a weird year for heat so far.David K - 9-13-2010 at 05:12 PM
Straight across on the Pacific (Punta Blanca to Santa Rosalillita)... or better, a bit south at Bahia Asuncion!shari - 9-13-2010 at 06:32 PM
we get alot of people from BOLA as we are pretty close and offer a different pacific style. One awesome feature you might like is kayaking around the
islands here...they are really close...like a mile so is a short paddle and hangin with the sealions is really neat...you can also snorkel with them
in a crystal clear little cove at the island. Here is a little video of some french students groovin with the sealions. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eUh5jAtY4A
say Hola to Juan's relatives In BOLA..the Arce's, Jose rosas who is a fishing and tourism guide, Ricardo who does dive & snorkeling charters, anna
who has a campo and her husband Tobi who runs the biosphere reserve office!

I got an email from Bahia last week saying the hot summer weather has broken. It should be beautiful down there.

I can't tell you folks how much I've been looking forward to this trip and how valuable the information I get here is. I've been going to Baja every
year for the past 15 and missed last year ( went to Alaska instead). I have visited many areas from San Felipe to La Paz but have never done much on
the Pacific side. Thanx for the great info.
Shari, maybe I'll cut over to your neighborhood and only spend a couple of days in BOLA. I snorkeled with the sea lions at La Paz and loved the
experience.
Even though I don't post much, I feel like I know so many of you because I read this forum on almost a daily basis. It keeps me connected with
the Baja I love so well.vandy - 9-14-2010 at 07:19 PM

You will be able to snorkel with the sea lions in Bahia as well as spend some water time with the whale sharks. You can find Shari's relative Jose
Rosas at Sammy Diaz's.
