Lodging between La Paz and Constitucion?

Are there any places to stay between these 2 cities? We're traveling to San Jose Del Cabo in December and heading north. My plan is to get through Ciudad Constitucion early in the morning before the constabulary opens its eyes.

It's only a couple of hours from Constitution to La Paz. Why not just stay there?

To the best of my knowledge & memory there's nothing between Constitucion & the outskirts of La Paz, the first place I know of that I'd be willing to stay would be El Centenario.

It appears that the extortion in Constitucion has either stopped or been reduced to the point I personally wouldn't plan a trip around sneaking through town in the wee hours!

eyelash......I posted this on another thread a couple of weeks ago. Palapa 206 is mainly an RV park, but they do have a few rooms If you want one you should reserve in advance. If you stay here you can be up and through Constitucion before the constabulary have had their first coffee.

Two miles south of the Super Ley in Constitucion, on the west side of Mex. 1, is the Palapa 206 RV Park. The Palapa 206 is run by Mike, Mimi, and their son Nigel. There are pull through spaces w/full hook up, and also rooms, if needed.

Heading north from La Paz you'll find La Pocitas and there you might be able to rent a room next to the tire shop. Next is El Ciento where there might be a room next to the palalpa. Next there is a town of Santa Rita south of Constitucion and I did see rooms there near the gas station.

But as mentioned it is only two hour short distance drive from Centinario to Constitucion.

Everyone is spot on. There's really no lodgings, and the trip is relatively short. And, as Legz mentioned, for whatever reason, perhaps because forums like this one mobilized, there has been an appreciable drop-off in police muggings.

Anybody been to Puerto Cancun? Saw the sign between Constitucion and La Paz... On the shore of Bahia Magdalena... Lodging there?

We stayed in one of their rooms once and it was very clean and comfortable.

There are plenty of places to camp on the beach near Cancun, which I guess is actually on Bahia Almejas, but I don't think there are any places with lodging for rent. The road in from Mex. 1 is long with a lot of sand, rocks, and washboard.

I posted a trip report on our camping trip to Cancun but cant seem to find it. There is nothing there but a fishing camp and a sometime manned military base.
We had a great time but were in our camper. If you go, be sure to keep your dogs on leashes. We heard 100's of coyotes howling at night.

you will love La Paz, well worth a visit and stay .... there is a nice B & B run by Carol Dyer called CASA TUSCANY INN.

we stopped by to see it since a friend of mine was staying there - it is close to the malecon or boardwalk and therefore close to stores, beach, restaurants ... Carol seems very nice. The rooms were so cool, in the midst of plants.

The only thing I saw out there were fish camps.
