Anybody know if the Charger game will be broadcast in Baja Sunday??

KASHEYDOG - 9-17-2010 at 08:51 AM

Just wondering if I should come down for brunch at Ortega's Buffet and Sports bar for the game on Sunday. Or does the NFL own Mexico too.....:o..

We would think about going somewhere out of San Diego to watch it, if someone can tell us they will play better than last week. Maybe it has something to do with why they didn't sell out.

Just talked to the bartender at Rosarito Beach Hotel, Fernando, he says no. I'm going to call David Ortega later to see if he can get it. Will keep you posted.:yes:

If some place down here has Dish or DirecTV wth an out of state feed, they'll probably get it. I know people here with a New york feed, and other places....that's what I'm talking about.
An L.A. feed won't do it.

I guess its time for all the Padres fans to switch to the Chargers as the Padres have fallen mightily. What are the Padres trying to be like the Dodgers?
Go Giants!!!

Along the same line, do you think the
Chargers will be on in Orange County?
Giants my A**

I heard on the radio this AM that they would be blacked out in LA, so I imagine OC will be the same.

I believe this is correct. Even so, the out of state feed would have to choose to present The Chargers' game as a game of interest in their local area.

Usually the local teams are featured. Later in the season, if The Chargers have a winning record, they may become more interesting to a wider national audience.

You are probably out of luck in Baja because of the SoCal blackout.

I just checked my SKY satellite system here in TJ, the satellite system that most residents use, and it will be showing the Jets and Patriots. So that's a no go unless things change, which they do once in a while.

If you mean the Charger status may change, I doubt it. The days of the city buying the unsold tickets are long over.
I believe once the decision to black out a game has been made, it's made. They go on to plan B.

Is the chargers game televised? More than likely. There's always enough people to watch any and all sports events. They're also referred to as couch potatoes.

The viewers would have to be French Fries. I doubt you could vegetate on this continent with The Chargers, on this Sunday. They will have to learn how to win with their great lineup of talent in order to serve any couch potatoes in the future.

I was thinking that the TV feed going to Jacksonville and other places might be picked up by the SKY system (using the FOX Sports network) but I doubt it.

Chargers game

SDRonni - 9-18-2010 at 11:59 AM

I think someone asked this question before, but I couldn't find it......so sorry for the redundancy.......does anyone know if there are any places in Rosarito Beach that will televise the Charger game tomorrow?

sanquintinsince73 - 9-18-2010 at 04:59 PM

I hear even Rosarito will be dark.

Udo - 9-18-2010 at 06:24 PM

You'll have to get to Arizona, or Las Vegas to watch the game!

Dave - 9-18-2010 at 07:01 PM

My Direct TV Sunday ticket schedule shows the game will be broadcast. I'm thinking that a few gringo bars around Rosarito have the NFL package. My best guess would be Splash.

Udo - 9-18-2010 at 07:54 PM

Directv reserves the right to not broadcast locally blacked-out games on their NFL ticket. That's why I quit the NFL ticket scam on DTV.

Good excuse to head for SPLASH, however!
