This new species of abalone pelican just flew in from Cereso Sta.Rosalia. It is the work of a local fellow who learned his craft well and has
supported himself under "difficult conditions" with his beautiful abalone sculptures and crafts.
We are helping look for a home for him. He is made of different types of abalone shell...the beak is of beautiful purple mussel shell and the pelican
toenails are really cool. The base is pine with stunning choya cactur wood inlays. This is a spectacular, original piece and stands about 18" tall.
I've never seen anything quite like it and is truly a collectors item. The artist wants 5,000 pesos for it.

It would make a great raffle piece and an excellent addition to anyones baja art collection. Please U2U me if interested or have any suggestions of
who may be interested.

I'll sign up for the PAYPAL raflle deal, Shari!
I already have a 32" wood pelican (with a fish in his bill) that I purchased in Puerto Peņasco about 20 years ago.
This would make a great companion to my wooden pal.
