Punta Sanfrancisquito???

C205Driver - 9-22-2010 at 02:31 PM

. . .??? Has anyone been to Punta Sanfrancisquito in the last few months? Anything new going on? (Any new improvements?) Or is it still the same, relatively speaking? Water was a little scarce last trip; anyone know the current situation? Fortunately for us, being out in the desert, there was lots of COLD beer in the cooler . . .Hot water in the shower??? Thanks in advance. . .

The position has not been created yet, but I think it will pay a little more than the salary for the City Manager of Bell, CA.

I was in San Francisquito Sept 18th thru the 20th but stayed over in the port. There was someone tending the cabanas and I heard the generator running on Monday. The runway was smooth. It did not look like anything has been done lately. I do not know if there is food or water. Sorry I do not have much information.

have you checked BPP

If you're launching your boat and if you are self contained then you might consider staying at the San Francisquito baylet. The showers are(were) hot there. He also sells beer and ice and not much of anything else.

The resort provides food and water. Meals were $10/person there.

I fly there three times a year and maintain a locker near the kitchen at PSF. I was there twice in June and it's about the same as always. Juan tries his best to maintain the place. If you are looking to get a panga and guide, they had outboard motor problems last time and I used my Sat phone to call the resort to come out and get us. Beto and hius brother, Meno, in the bay, have lots of ice to sell but I don't know what else. $5/big bag I hope that this helps. One more thing. When I was there in June there were two planes. My Cessna 182 and a Cessna 210. The 210 was stolen that night. Bob

well.....my good neighbor at Campos Ocotilio runs down there each year with his wife/family. Oh...these guys are 67 years old and act like Mr and Mrs Davy Crockett

In their courtyard are some VERY awesome fossils. I am talking about stuff you see in the displays at the city museum. One piece he found, is at least 9 inches large, of a sea snail. Incredible.

Well be getting details of this area in a few weeks from now.....as I am going to our place for a month. Will update you with the details.

Whale bones and gold mines in this area too BTW

capt. mike - 9-23-2010 at 03:45 PM

sadly i don't think Dr Crenshaw's 210 was ever found.
