Yesterdays rain left some huge pot hiles betwen Primo Tapia and Rosarito.
Please take care fellow Nomads when traveling the free road.
Took Boulevard 2000 yesterday in the rain its a real safe road even in the rain.

Pot holes are the most dangerous aspect of driving in Mexico. They get BIG!

The heavy truck traffic that gets off at El Pescador to reach 2000 or go down to Primo to catch the Toll road south from their exit from 2000 onto the old road just south of Rosarito is literally destroying the road...

It has gone from something that was doing ok ..... to something which you had better watch... as k-rico stated.. they get "BIG"... and very deep... go slow.. no kidding... there are some really bad ones...

Also, not unusual for folks to wander all over the road to avoid... just go slow an expect some folks to be on your side of the road every once in a while to miss some really big "PITS"... they are past what one would call "pot holes"... more like obstacles .... in my book... wife does not use the old road, uses toll all the times.. it is not perfect but is much better

Mexican drivers watch where the car in front of them swerve and do the same- they know. Sometimes I mess with the guy behind me if he is tailgating and move to one side of my lane and then the other. They follow me and sometimes even get the hint... to leave enough room to see the pits and avoid them. The via rapida in TJ is one of those places where they can never get the road to stay flat. I think there are broken sewer lines underneath it or something. ALwys car doing the "lane ballet".
