Erindira Trip

Curt63 - 10-12-2010 at 11:49 AM

Hola Nomads,

Had a great trip to Erindira last weekend. What a nice little town.

Surf was flat and we chose not to fish.

We rode the quads about 110 miles (north to Punta San Jose and south to San Antonio Del Mar). This was some excellent, scenic riding.

No decapitated heads or gunfights this trip. I did get a tummyache from too many churros in the border line.

Cheers, Curt

good pics .... is the hostel still open ? we stopped by to see it a couple years ago and it was going strong ...

The hostel was open and looked good, but no guests. Not really my style. We rented a nice cabana right next door to it for $35US.

Cool! Did you guys ride on the road North out of PSJ?

No, that was our turn around after 30 miles. What can you tell me about that area?

I recently stopped by the hostel for a hearty breakfast and conversation with guests and owners. Its a lovely place. Enjoyed a Thai massage given by the proprietress. She trained and practiced in a Thai Buddhist temple and has a lovely studio on-premises. My highest recommendation as it was the single most healing massage I've experienced. Find them online and on Facebook.

I was down the same time and got fun 3'-4' surf 30 miles south.

Its an unused road that goes to Pt. China. I've gone for a while (~3-5mi) in my 4x4, but never went all the way. Some cool drops, washouts, and not a very good road at all. Probably best for a motorcycle or ATV. I had a big Toyota on 35's with lockers and still almost got stuck! :/

But there are some cool vistas, all untouched land, little coves, etc.
